I agree. The live acoustic version without all the other background music and sounds is much better sounding to me too. You can hear his voice more and it sounds more mellow.

This one has the strongest hook. I find myself breaking out in, "Get Out, Get Out, Get Out of my heart", several times a day.
no its not. He wrote this song. just because it has the words 'get out' in it and so does a one direction song doesnt mean its based on it. He is too original. Most talented man ive ever seen.

I actually love the studio version. Not overproduced at all! This is great too, but I wanted to defend the studio version because I fell in love with it on first listen and have listened to it over 30 times.

He hasn't truly conformed to the pop precedent. He still has a very soul-sy to his music. I actually like this acoustic version alot more than the studio, and where else can you find an artist doing an acoustic on a steel guitar? It sounds very Jason Mraz oriented, and only recently did Mraz become considered a "pop" artist. Casey will always have that quality to him. I look forward to some funky, jazzy, acoustic bass driven songs on his album, and I will continue listening to his music.

I think if he wanted to get more views he could do just what you said but I think he simply doesn't care about the number of views his videos get. he is just doing what he loves to do and isn't worried about how many people see his videos hes just doing it to do what he loves most, and that is to play music.
@Josh Hudson... If you look at his Album on Itunes it's considered "Pop" just likeCasey's love Haley Reinhart.. she was bluesly,Jazzy, Soul and her album is "Pop" her's sounds more jazzy than Casey's tho..

Casey--I def like this acoustic version much more than the one on sound cloud.. I think that (finished?) version was over produced or something. It sounded very pop and almost like a dance tune thing, You are so talented so I hope they produce all the songs to bring out the best in the music.

ITA-- Love the acoustic version --the produced version on soundcloud was too slick and the beat overwhelmed the melody. Hope they re-think that arrangement. Casey has a real feel for melody and I don't want that fact lost for pop radio.
Also, hope some of Casey's jazz chops are featured on the record along with those great harmonies that he infused is songs like the one he composed for being Signed by Concord

I actually really like this song... I love his blues-jazz genre that he does, but this is good too. I love pop music. I also love jazz and blues... So it doesn't bother me. One more thing, I feel like alot of people are trying not to be "mainstream" so it is starting to become mainstream. If you like a song, then like the song >.>

this guy should be famous by now
the fact is, straight jazz doesn't sell, and i doubt any label will sign someone that is looking to put out a jazz album. At least this way casey can attract more people to his music, then when his fan base grows he can ease into a more jazzy album, which this current album has hints of throughout.

I went on rate the music. com made an account signed up for HAC as my favorite music and then it said we have a special Casey Abrams survey for you and all the full studio version was right there, so it was no leaked. They put it out so people who don't know him can listen to his music and they can see if it would make a good single or not
