One of the best Capcom bosses for sure. His design, playstyle, the music, the stage. The first time I fought Hyo I spent 3 hours and I couldn’t figure out how to beat him. He’d make a fantastic crossover character on a CVS game.
Unless we got someone like Toshiyuki Morikawa and Daniel Southworth to be Hyo and well, believe it or not, Hyo is basically Vergil before the real deal came.
In Japan when a VA dies, its like the soul of the character dies. But if they bought back Heihachi for that Tekken Bloodline anime, then maybe.... 'sigh' We could only hope.
@@jordanjackson6151 It might not be entirely impossible for Hyo to return in a new game with a different voice actor. Zato-ONE from Guilty Gear was also voiced by Kaneto Shiozawa and even canonically died during the events of Guilty Gear X and XX, but he's continued to reappear in the franchise's installments with Takehito Koyasu voicing him. That said, it appears that Zato has remained playable in Guilty Gear primarily because it is Daisuke Ishiwatari's way of honoring Shiozawa's memory.
I always thought the background for this fight was the weirdest thing, just pitch black with colors streaking all over the place, like some kind of rave or disco or something, lol. Hyo was a badass tho.
On Disc 2 ("Evolution"), you get the version of this stage without the sparkles and the blacked out background, along with an arrangement of Hyo's theme. Not sure if it was cut in the Western release. I had the Japanese version.
Darkstalkers yes, SF 3 New Gen, nah. New Gen had a very smooth jazzy feel to it, also elements of house and 90's hip hop. Nothing frantic and fast paced like this.
