I will never forget this night. I worked back stage during the concert, I cried and shouted and work. God was in the building. Edwin and Walter Hawkins were a true blessing in my, and many peoples lives.
Doretha, you are so right. There was a powerful move of God in the building that night! Praise dancing in this number was a challenge as I felt I would fall on the floor weeping every second. I waited until the song was finished dancing and as soon as I got in the wings I felt out, crying, and thanking God for the blessing and protection on my life. What an annoited music ministry the Hawkins Family has been blessed with. I'm so sad Edwin has passed and miss Bishop so much. But, I'm grateful for all they shared with the world. Their contributions are immeasurable!

Bishop Ernestine Cleveland Reems also attended that church. Daryl Cooley was there also and Tremaine Hawkins. Can you imagine all that talent at the same church. The dancers were in EVERY WAY ON POINT!!!!! It was absolutely perfect and in perfect sync! Walter and Edwin Hawkins were perfectionists (especially Walter), and there is no way he would have allowed an out of place, or less than perfect dance performance to hinder this masterful piece. The dancers were in EVERY WAY ON POINT!!!!!
It was absolutely perfect and in perfect sync! Walter and Edwin Hawkins were perfectionists (especially Walter), and there is no way he would have allowed an out of place, or less than perfect dance performance to hinder this masterful piece. Sorry sis, but you fumbled the ball on this one.
