When did Chevrolet start making a Hemi? I noticed it said "Chevrolet" on the Chrysler Hemi spark plug covers on the Peak Funny Car. Will Chev and Ford try to ban the Chrysler Hemi from the supercharged racing classes, as they did in Pro Stock and NASCAR, because they just can't compete? PS I know the Mopar Pro Stock cars had a valve cover that said "Hemi" on it, but it ain't no Hemi.
I notice the rail had no blower, but it was cackling. I'm assuming it's a Top Alcohol Dragster naturally aspirated on nitromethane. BTW at 200mph, 1.4PSI of free boost is coming from that scoop. About 3 PSI around 300mph if he gets that fast.

I wish NHRA would sanction some big races at Martin Motorsports Park, in Michigan with the heavy hitters. We have the northern nationals and Nitro Harley’s but I’d like to see some big races. Love Cycle Drag. Keep up the good work man

As a former multiple sportsman class (from D/D to A/D, Jr. Fuelers of the early 70's to AA/D, etc) of the 1970's & 80's, I must say that John Force is certainly a "personality" in drag racing.... and yeah, he has 16 "world" championships under his belt. However, lets not forget that it was his genius Crew Chief.. Austin Coil who was Thee reason for Force's Ten Straight years of dominance!!.....and who was screwed by John... by the amount that he cut Austins salary... during the recession of 2008/2009, and which is why he left JFR.... along with, as Austin once said after the split... "it's like you've been married for 26 years, and you've heard all the bs".... you come to a point where, you're just "done" with it. You don't shaft your key man like that... he has a Lot to learn about how you treat people. It's "all about JF"... don't kid yourself, otherwise. He will Never, be a Don Garlits in Any Way, Shape or Form... in personal integrity as a driver, in engineering prowess, master chassis & engine builder, ... and Much more Importantly, in integrity and commitment as a husband and father, as "Big" Always was to his family.. which Always came first and foremost to him. I don't have a lot of respect for him as an individual... no more than I do, the inside "politics" of the NHRA hierarchy.... which pretty well, will Not be in existence "Within" the next few years, anyway...along with Many other activities. Count on it.
