Never in my life did I think I would feel sorry for a bull! I guess it's a testament to how good of a job Pete does showing the time and care he and Hillary put into all of their animals. I feel like I "know" Titus...and yep, I feel bad for him.
His cattle are remarkably tame (even the bulls.) On my uncles farm in South Dakota, where he had about 200 head, we were told to keep clear of the bulls. Decades ago one of his neighbors had been killed by a bull.
@@machintelligenceAlways good to keep one eye on the bulls but cattle temperament and lots of interaction with the herd builds bonds of trust between cattle and humans. Small dairy farms usually are the ones that get to know them. I commend Pete and Hillarie on how well the cattle know them.
Check the firing order. Sounds like you could have plug wires crossed. Best to remove number one plug, put your thumb in the plug hole and bump it over till you feel compression. Bring it up to TDC and look where the rotor is pointing. It should be on #1 wire. From there, go clockwise around the distributor in firing order.
Pete, I was thinking about your Channel conundrum. I don’t think there is anything wrong with changing your content based on yearly activity on the farm. If you work on a tractor film working on a tractor, if it’s animals or chores it’s animals and chores. Heck, I watched you fix a clock once. Do what you want and folks will watch. Just my two cents.
Thanks Joe. On most all farms, chores decrease some in the winter, and time is spent fixing equipment. It's just reality. But some people have no tolerance for seeing mechanical work. It is what it is I guess.
@@JustaFewAcresFarm I think some folks would watch you and Hilary reading books if you filmed it. 🤷🏻♂️. I would probably take a pass on that but you get the drift.
Pete, you are a fortunate man. You have Hillary, you have your farm, and you have a fantastic U-Tubeshow. Everything you have is a product of your hard work. We can tell that you enjoy the life you have built. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
Hi Pete and Hillary as true fans we will watch all content you show. You know what’s best for yourself and we are happy to be supportive and along for the ride. Your values and thoughts come through on all content. Be true to yourself . That’s all we ask for!
Bossy pig definitely loved that bale! pepper is a good name for the new calf and thanks to both of you for another day in the life video, they always make my day 👍
Thanks Pete, in the last couple of video's it seemed you were questioning the status of your content. I for one, love the mixed content and this video is a perfect example of can't wait to see what's on for today. I think that seeing your subscribers increase over a hundred thousand since I found you at approx. 300K in itself speaks volumes. I think you should keep doing what you are doing and how you are doing it. You, Hillarie, your children and all the animals are fine examples of what we need in todays world. Keep it up! Keep us posted on the two grumpy old men, even if it's a short video.
Glad Titus was ok, looks like his pride was hurt. It’s always a pit in the stomach feeling or worse if a member of the herd goes missing, but more so if it’s a bull. Cute new heifer calf!
I have grown Dexters for the last 9 years. Love the breed. Easy to maintain and fence. I had a Dexter bull that would come over and lay his head on my shoulder when I was working in the field. Big puppy.
Pete, I was an educator for life (Was? Am). While becoming more familiar with you, Hil, the kids, animals, etc; it’s easy to say I love you all and so very much approve of the way everyone is treated. The warmth is amazingly evident. Thank you, Pete, et al.
Glad Titus was reunited with the herd. I remember moving heifers from different pasture on our dairy farm as a kid. We kept one bull with our herd, until Dad switched to AI. Never want one animal loose. Glad all is well.
Pete, Hillary is definitely your better half the longer I watch your videos for the past year plus. She is quiet, but she is a reckoning to be dealt with whenever there’s an issue because she is the one almost always who solves the problem! (Just like in this video when she found Titus way down in the bottom of the hill, and often times, she finds the baby calves as well, when the mother has hit them so well in the tall grass.♥️ The two of you are so well ❣️matched, and I think that’s what a lot of us are drawn to❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ you may be the one who does the videos, Pete, but Hillary is your silent partner who supports you, no matter what you’re doing. I know that you’re going to name it what you want Pete but why would you name that beautiful black category when there is not a spot of white on it, and usually pepper is associated with some thing that is black and white.!! There are many names that you can come up with for an all black calf: such as Midnight, Ebony, Midnight, queen of Egypt, Ace, bandit, beauty, charcoal, Licorice… and so many more. Please, I beg of you, Pete, let Hillary name this calf because I know she’s not gonna pick pepper.!
Hello Hilarie & Peter. Whew! Should I have been worried that Titus could have passed? So glad when you guys pointed him out. Looks like maybe some unfinished business between Titus aaa7 Ortin? Love seeing the herd together! Be well.
Ah Pete, loved this video. So many good bits...correction there, ALL good bits. Wife = priceless; electric Dad joke; Titus lost in the field; being shocked by the fence...ALL of it 👌😁🤩
I'm sure he tells his age and is pondering this my be his last win (tied) . may he has relized, this may be his last year as the leader. Titus and Ordan. The battle conginues. Hoping you and Hilary are doing well. Look forward to working on tractors this winter. Looking forward to what ever you bring us on you days
I love this video! Well done. It is so obvious that you love what you do on the farm. I chuckled out loud, at the pig, making his nest, and burrowing in the bale of hay. I think Titus just wanted a little "man time"........Your herd is just lovely. I enjoy the fact that you have interaction with them, and can go up to them and give them a great scratch. Every animal needs love........Bev in Maine
I just love the way your cattle run when you call. I was raised with milk cows. They ran to me when they seen me. You are a true farming family and whatever direction you go with your videos - I'll surely watch. Keep on farming!!!!!
Pete, I just love the way you interact with your herd. I swear they gather round to listen to what you're talking about and now and then someone puts in their two cents worth, usually Patty. Congrats on the new calf. I think Pepper is a really good name for her. All the best to you and your family.
You have a very large farm and a lot of beautiful gobies. You are great that the animals are very clean and well-groomed. Wishing you peace and a pleasant weekend, my friend🤝
Maybe the cows were trying to tell you about Titus! They seemed to settle down when everyone was back together. I think Titus is still trying to show the herd he's still the Boss. He's doing that by pawing the ground. LOL Bulls are fun to watch.
Pete your so right animals love to stay together, Just love your kind video s . Some people don t know cows walk a path back and forth , so you see path in your video s Thanks
I'm so glad you found your bull, I'm an old farm girl and I was worrying as well I hope all is well on your farm I really enjoy watching,it takes me back to when I was a young girl. Well we love you both,
I can’t put my finger on any one specific thing; however, this video left me missing my grandfather. He started out with an 80 acre beef and dairy farm and once his sons were grown and he could no longer manage large livestock by himself he went to small livestock until he was in his 70’s. I’m 65 now and some of my most fond memories are still of visiting his farm. Thank you so much for sharing these snippets, they really are wonderful.
Cattle definitely have individual personalities!!! Amazing how they can hide calves...used to find them in tall grass or behind a small multiflora bush. If a calf gives a distress call, the whole herd will be there in a flash looking for who is bothering their baby. Enjoy watching you and Hillary working together. Cherish the moment!!!
In the past I felt bad for Ordin, this year it seems Ordin may have caused Titus to take a hike and go think about things. So I felt bad for Titus. I guess I'm a fan of the underdog...or underbull.
I must admit. I too thought worst case when you first mentioned Titus was missing. go looking and nothing at first i started to get a pit in my stomach. Once you found him, I thought a change of guard. Time will tell. Glad he is still with us.
Hey - love the UH shirt! I grew up on Maui, so it always makes me just a little nostalgic to see reminders. Mahalo for sharing what you do. I hope your kids can decide to take over when you’re ready. We need more like you.
Every time I see your videos I think about times when the hens are let out in their pasture , it reminds me of "Here come the clowns!" There are plenty funny critters on a small farm. You keep the laughs coming.

A testament to good story telling………
I was worried about worst case scenario……so I am relieved and hope it is balance of power struggle.
Pete and Hillary are great lovers of all their animals and it shows.👍🏻❣️👍🏻❣️👍🏻❣️👍🏻
Looks like Titus is aging. Retiring alphas tend to separate themselves from the family as they surrender leadership to the new one. Might be.
@@machintelligenceAlways good to keep one eye on the bulls but cattle temperament and lots of interaction with the herd builds bonds of trust between cattle and humans.
