You're the only other "primitive" channel I watch except for Primitive Technology, and I like what you're doing. I would like to see you build more stable and lasting houses and roofs though. The current look just practical, I imagine a real hut or smithy would be awesome!

Love this guy. By far the best and most creative survivalist out there. I've seen some good stuff from others but his takes the cake. Does Wendy's have cakes? Idk haven't been for awhile xD
A lot of comments say why don't you connect the water wheel to your piston ? But looking at your design reminds me of the Japanese forge. They could make samurai swords in the past that till this day with modern equipment that could not be repeated. A hammer and a pair of tongs would be good then who knows, the world is your oyster. Great channel you lead while the others follow :) Good Luck
Cant wait for him to get the P and B doping of silicon for his homemade computers. It'll be interesting to see how he makes his microscoping technology out of bamboo
You should turn the water powered hammer into a wheel-to-linear powered actuator so you can just turn the water on and it’ll automatically push and pull the air blower for the furnace.
@@raymondhoward5874 no, if it was it wouldn't have been as brittle as it was, or as sharp. I'd say low to medium carbon around 1030-1040 grade steel. Edit: in case you didnt know iron is pretty malleable
@@jkjkhardcore666 The axe made in the former videos is definitely wrought iron (so basically low carbon steel). Given the tools and bloomery design, he couldn't have worked more carbon into the bloom nor removed that much slag (which would increase it's ductility). Furthermore, it's not like if it was lead, certainly wrought iron is more malleable than steel, but it should still be able to resist some wear against wood. For the longest time axes only had a thin medium-steel edge on a wrought iron head after all. (I don't remember seeing it striked against a rock, which should indeed deform the edge it if it was wrought iron)

You should also evenly distribute the air into the furnace. Build a ceramic bicycle tire shape (imagine the tire without the rim) at the bottom of the furnace.
After careful review of the differences between this channel and Primitive Technology, I have come to the conclusion that bamboo is OP and ought to be nerfed.

You’re like Senku, our Dr.stone
thanks
@Odd haven he said thanks?
Dr. Stone Age?
I can't wait until he progresses to the digital age and starts making his own semiconductors.
he's beyond that, he builds a time machine in the future, comes back to a few years ago, and hands himself the camera.
Dale Smith 🤣🤣🤣 #Epic
he already does that at work.
Actually once you have copper and the ability to make vacuum chambers you can make a fusor to make your semiconductors with.
@@saradanhoff6539 he could also find some pyrite in a stream for a N-type.

Great stuff.
Great product. Perhaps he had to work very hard to research and create it
I doubt that.
Obviously he has to hide from skeletons and creepers every night so it slows things down

Heating up the bamboo with fire removes sugar from the bamboo. Making it more resistant to elements and bugs.
Also makes it pliable and easily formed into curves and bends that will hold shape once the fibres cool down.
