I lost my dad to cancer Christmas morning, 2016. I wish I had more of his wisdom. Like Game said about his dad, he always had a helpful response to any problem, and a smart ass, funny, put down anytime I was doing something stupid or just not using my brain to work thru the complete problem or situation. Checking me when I start to act off emotions instead of reason. Combine that with a person that could repair or refurbish almost anything that would break or not work well. I've given him multiple auto specialty tools that were poor design, or cheaply made. Take the tool to his shop, modify, upgrade, and even replace the tool with an improved tool he made on the mill machine. I would give up quite a lot to have another day with him healthy. When you love someone, and you watch them suffer in agony and pain holding on to life as long as they could just to keep loved ones from going thru loosing that person, you can't be selfish and wish they were still alive. And when you know his heart was right with The Creator, you get extreme comfort and peace knowing his life changed form at death, and death of the body is not eternal death. We will answer for what we do now, when this body no longer breathing. Whether you believe it, or choose not to.
Man I just gained a whole lotta respect for this man! My dad was murdered when I was a month old. And my mom passed when I was 16. Shit ain’t easy after that but everything he said is some true ass shit. You’ll never know the feeling till it happens to you.
Game is such an intelligent brother. Always was one of my favorite artists growing up, The Documentary is one of the first albums I ever bought, but I had no idea how introspective and smart he was outside of musical ability. This is a whole ass well adjusted MAN.
Yesssss. He explains the feeling of losing a parent so well. Especially unexpectedly (not saying it’s worse, it’s just different) But yea it’s fucking awful. A huge piece of you does and it doesn’t matter if you go up down left or right, doesn’t change a thing. The only thing that changes it is time and grieving. I’m 6 years in from losing my mom unexpectedly after talking to her 10 minutes prior and it still hurts.
