Hi Sean! def go with the 4mm if you want a minimum look without being too flashy. I did have the 5mm before and did not like it. that 1mm does make a huge difference in looks in my honest opinion. Hope this helps!

It depends on your body size, I'm 5'10 240lbs and 4mm looks nice, not so big that it looks fake or gaudy but big enough to look like a dudes chain. however If I wanted a statement chain I'd definitely look at the 5-6mm. By the way, If you have an iphone then the charging cable is about 4mm for reference
