Sagar (1985) is a Bollywood rom-com directed by Ramesh Sippy. It stars Rishi Kapoor, Kamal Haasan, and Dimple Kapadia. Kapadia's comeback film featured a notable topless scene. Kamal Haasan won Best Actor, the second ever to be nominated for both lead and supporting actor at the Filmfare Awards.
The story revolves around Mona's restaurant in Goa, where Raja secretly loves her, while Ravi, from a wealthy family, falls for her.

It is a good movie even in today's standard especially how the first song started. I watched when I was very small now even our cenema Hall is not there anymore. Kamalji and Rishiji are unforgettable epitome of my childhood days. Dimple is our household name those days.

I always like his acting.
I saw this movie in the theatre when it was released back in 1985. Then it was in my mind for some time then I got engaged in my life. saw this again in you tube last year and since then has seen this atleast 7 times. What a perfect handling of an otherwise ordinary love triangle theme. Dimple comes back after a gap of 12 years and she has come into it like fish in water- appears as though she has been continuously acting. What a creation of God this actress is! An Kamal ! The songs are soooooooo. Love this movie for all its technical perfections, and brilliant cast.

Direction of Ramesh Sippy in this movie, superb. The bathing scene of Dimple Kapadia at sea during the time of sunrise is superb. The back ground music score by Pancham & direction of Ramesh Sippy & acting by Rishi &Dimple made this scene speechless.
Dimple Kapadia"s bathing at sea scene was actually shot in the swimming pool. Genius work done by cameraman.

Never seen such a beautiful depiction of love and good hearted people in a movie. All three were so respectful, considerate and cared for each other, understood each other. Trying to make sure the other person was happy! Damn ..this movie has touched me. It will forever be the best romantic movie for me, where true love & human feelings are valued so much. Hatsoff to everyone involved especially actors who portrayed their characters beautifully.
