- With just hours remaining before the gate drops on the 2024 season, we headed out to the Honda test track on Thursday before Anaheim 1 to scope out how the Honda HRC boys are feeling as well as Phoenix Honda's Dylan Ferrandis who was putting in laps as well. This was the last time each of them got some final testing in before the 2024 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season kicks off in Angel Stadium this Saturday night.

I like the Lawrence Brothers and I'm super happy to see Ferrandis healthy and with a team again this year. Most of all I Hope ALL the riders stay healthy for the best season ever.

Very well said and agree 100% on health of riders.
Never in my 25 years of being involved in this sport have I witnessed such a raw natural talent than Jett.
Barring serious injury, I cannot see anyone within the coming 5 years beating him in both indoor & outdoor championships.

Nobody denies his talent on the bike but talent only goes so far in supercross you need a bit of luck i mean you find yourself mid pack and someone might take you out just because you and they have nowhere to go. I hope for greatness too but man there is so much more to this sport than talent. People are just being realistic
SX is a totally different beast but I think if he gets the starts and doesn’t have to fight his way through the pack and doesn’t get impatient he’ll do great,the premier class is way different in SX and you earn respect from your competitors if not you’ll get Bam Bammed!
I think people are sleeping on Hunter. If it wasn’t for Jett, Hunter would be next man up.
Very true! (If he gets a good start he could podium almost every night). Plus he trains with Jett (so he knows what speed he has to beat). No one puts him in the top 5. (Can't wait to see)!
I believe the only difference in the two is Jett will let it all hang out at times while hunter is more reserved and calculated
Agree some "experts" have Hunter only getting 9th or 10th in the championship, I think they're dreaming, he's definitely top 5 or better
It’s great to see Dylan slotting in there too. It has to help having 3 450 riders all at the test track together

@@wcrider that’s because you haven’t got the whole field going through the same corner for style/speed comparison. You’d notice the difference if they play the footage one after the other

The difference of sound between Jett and Hunter's bikes is very noticeable. Sounds like Hunter is using a lighter crank...
It does,thanks DV i was trying to figure out why they sounded different and Jett is definitely going faster while Hunter looks slow,not saying he is but I hope he steps it up!

if you get a chance, check out the GP speedway riders off the line, and the way they modulate the clutch out the gate, they take a few bites at it.

@@Rudyard_Stripling off grates, you would have to say 2nd, used to be able to pull 3rd on dirt, but the grates seam to grip more
I learned a lot from watching Jett in this video, he stays hooked up to the ground all the time never breaking traction too much and that is why he stays so straight in the whoops, a lot of guys get twisty in the hoops.@@DHRC23

The ti-nitrate coatings on the lowers have always looked so much better than Kashima or black DLC coating...Reminds me of a new titanium pipe with a torch taken to it to blue it. But Kashima uppers with Ti-nitrate lowers with black lugs is peak suspension porn.

I have said it before and I’ll say it again when I saw him on the 450 at the MXON he looked so comfortable on that bike that he was going to be unbeatable,well I saw him twice last year outdoors and he looked the same,he’s so in tune with his bike and smooth,but SX is a different animal so we’ll see how he maintains his mistakes

I'm no fan of one rider blizting the field - see F1 and how it dampens the sporting aspect. But other than someone knocking him off the bike in the final qtr of the race, I cannot see anyone beating Jett this year. Injury can stop anyone, but hopefully this talent doesn't fall foul to that. Fella looks that good out there.

Does Dylan train with Jett and Hunter? (If so - that would be "key", and make him a better competitor, mentally, physically, speed wise).
No I don’t think so. Lawrence bros have a facility in Florida I think. Not sure which track this is
@@cooperwelty4749 Dylan has said in interviews how grateful he is to the Lawrence's for letting him train with them and ride their track. Dunno how often that happens, but it does. The Lawrence's have said they are happy for him to be there because he helped them out so much in the past, in Europe I think...
Yes he trains out of there facility, he needed somewhere close and they offered, at 1st he declined but they insisted as his family and there’s are friends,the Lawrence’s lived with them in France for a while when they raced in Europe, hence the friendship.

Jett looks free & loose on the bike which is a good thing. Hunter still looks a bit methodical, but he has always been a bit more that way compared to Jett. Didn't see much of Dylan but if Hunter gets his starts sorted i wouldn't be surprised if he gets a couple wins this season.

@@kimcrews1721 Oh definitely, but I wonder why they would want him picking up on riding/racing tips with Hunter because they’re probably going to be similar in speed and more of competition towards each other.
Thanks for 2 seconds of Ferrandis. Still can't get out of the starting gate. He should only practice starts till he is sick of it. He'll be dropped after this year then retire.

Deegan won like 3 races total last year, and none of them were in SX. I hope you really soak it up for the next couple of years while he has a fighting chance because when he moves to the big boy class, Jett is going to be his daddy.
