Oh Cara!! So many beautiful roses. The David Austin's are so beautiful, I was lucky to have a few in the garden here when we moved in. I was never really a rose grower, but they are definitely my favorite. Have a wonderful day lovely and I can't wait to see them all in bloom xx Cathi xx
What a wonderful blessing Cathi! Since we built our house, we did not have any landscaping plants at all, it has been fun to add what varieties we want to the garden, but there are times where I wish we would have had already established plantings. -Cara
Hmmm, this makes me ponder putting in some roses at the house. I have never grown roses before but those in the catalog are gorgeous. Don't mind me while I spend the next hour looking up rose varieties! 🌹-Jamie
I love roses I wanna have lots of roses as well one day my mom used to have lots and they always smelled so good. And also I love the Lady of Shalott one so beautiful 😍
My favorite types of roses are the ones that survive our cold Idaho winters. It's a bonus if they have a nice fragrance. I do have a climbing rose I need to transplant. It's just not in the best place. 💖💖💖
That would defiantly have to be a requirement where you live Meg! I have never tested out their warranty, but david austin has a 5 year grow warranty if you buy roses through their website :) -Cara
I love the David Austin Rose catalog 😍 I have looked at mine so many times lol. I have not ordered any yet, but I definitely plan on it. Love the ones you chose, so pretty! 🌹
So exciting! Lady of Shalott is a beautiful color and munstead wood sounds beautiful also. I ordered roses for the first time this year also and got Claire Austin and Ispahan. I can’t wait to see how they look this summer!
Good morning Cara 🌹❤🌹 I love both of your choices. Being a retired florist I look at roses with mixed emotions 😅 Oo & Ouch !! I don't have access to my catalog, but it's the beautiful Peach shade that Laura has on her black wooden Archway leading to the raised Veggie garden. It has a fragrance that's "dripping" ❤Peggy❤
@BlueBird Homestead Way back when, the commercial rose 🌹 was American Beauty. By the time I began working in a shop, Visa roses was a staple (they looked good, but had a hard time opening) By the late 80's, a rose called Madam was all the rage. Long stem, breed and grown in South America, higher priced than Visas, but opened slowly and stood up to delivery and negligent customers. A retail florist choices were quite different back then. Plus, we were in Ft. Lauderdale and faced heat most of the year. Your rose garden is going to be beautiful.
@@peggyhelblingsgardenwhatyo7920 How fascinating Peggy! Thanks for sharing. I bet rose growing for resale is defiantly a different ball game. My favorites tend to lean towards ones that are peony shaped. -Cara
I never knew that we can order roses in bare root form. Very excited for you that the roses has arrived! I feel the same seeing my succulents 😊 The lady of Shallot is beautiful with its orange blooms.
So Pretty! I want to plant one on my new arbor but when I went to the website most of the ones I wanted were sold out! I was a little late to the party I guess:). I will wait to see what arrives at our local nurseries. I agree, I love the multi petal, tight cup form that opens big too. I love the Lady Shallot and cannot wait to see these blooms. Oh and the Eden because that one is on my short list. Thanks for sharing:)
Nice roses you picked. I've grown the hybrid tea variety mostly and I've got the names of some I think you'll love as much as I do. Heirloom, Candy Stripe, Tropicana, Chrysler Imperial, Double Delight, and Chicago Peace. Beautiful robust blooms and heady fragrance. If you plant some delphiniums amongst your roses it raises the wow factor by 1000%, they are great companion plants. Happy gardening!
Those were really pretty roses 🌹. I'm looking forward to seeing them when they bloom. I bought roses from Edmond's Roses and got them in March. Mr. Lincoln and Big Purple have the strongest scent out of all my roses. I'm getting some more soon. I need another Dolly Parton rose. She smells really nice and I left it where I used to live. It was a beautiful bright orange. Have a great day and happy gardening 🌿🌱😊🤗
❤ I’m interested to know if your roses do well in that soil ,,, because we have the same clay soil ( zone 7 a ) and we always have to open the hole twice as big to add rich black soil before we plant the roses . It would save us money and time Cara ! Some of our roses survive but a few don’t come back the second year .
Ohhh now I want to go order some roses!
Do it! :) Roses are a great gift idea too!
The roses will be beautiful... I especially like the burgundy... thanks Cara 🤗❤️

This area that we have the roses planted in was all amended heavily with compost last year 😊😊
Hi can you tell me how to order some im from trinidad
I am not sure if they ship to your country, but this is the website I ordered these roses from. www.davidaustinroses.com
