      Established in base to the Kelvin grades but moved to be centred around the freezing temperatyre of water.

      in my eyes Fahrenheit below zero is the true below zero. when you hear below zero in Fahrenheit it carries weight, but when you hear below zero in celsius its just kinda meh. in fahrenheit there is a difference between below zero and freezing, in celcius there isnt, probably why saying below zero in F carries that weight

    I live in Minnesota, so every winter I get to use fahrenheit and Celsius when the temperature reaches -40. It is the only temperature they agree on.

    Using Celsius for everyday temperature measurement is stupid. Fahrenheit being a number with a bigger range means you're being more accurate. I don't care water boils at an even 100 Celsius. I'm not water.

    I may use Celsius for all my geek stuff but i will always use Fahrenheit for the weather cuz i know that 0 is too dang cold and 100 is too dang hot. Yall can measure things based on how hot boiling water is but I'm not gonna be getting drenched with 100c water anytime soon... I hope

    Both Metric and Imperial units of measurement are completely arbitrary, it's just that Metric is for people too dumb to remember conversion tables.

    People use Celcius to talk about how cold it is and Farenheit to talk about how hot it is so it always sounds more absurd
    -5 °C when it is freezing cold because it sounds colder than 23 °F and 112 °F for when it is terribly hot because it sounds hotter than 44 °C

    Let me tell you, I spent half my life in my native country which used Celsius, and the other half in the US (quite literally, my developmental years in my native land and the other half in the States), and I find the Imperial System to far more useful and quantifiable in a day-to-day basis. I like use Celsius in other manners that require it, like scientific and engineering shit for nice round numbers, but beyond that, I don’t think it got a place in common life, because common life ain’t nice round numbers.
    You folk might denigrate me, but I’ll stick to using the system that used human beings as a basis rather than one that was based on some random fucking hunk of steel decided by some French bastard.

    Farenheit : How hot or cold it is, relative to how a human feels temperature
    Celsius : How hot or cold it is, relative to how water feels temperature
    Neither are better or worse overall, both have their uses. (Though arguably, celsius is overall less useful scientifically since scientists would just use Kelvin.)
