The jews wanted to justify themselves and be absolved of his death and murder, so, they wanted pilate to write, "He said i am king of the jews", the i am statement being blasphemy in their eyes...but, God had a different plan. Yet i dont blame those jews for his murder, nor pilate, nor the soldiers...but like chuck says, blame me, my sins put him there... amen.
It's really angering to me those soldiers didnt give mary his clothes at least... to draw lots for the garment, just disgusting, but it was prophetic, and again Jesus forgave them, so,...that's that...
