Ganzo is always great quality and I hate it when people and reviewers are too good to mention Ganzo Firebird knives. A great knife is a great knife. Thanks for the review!
An excellent knife. I would put it somewhere between Elementum and Praxis in terms of size. I have the FH922PK-BK version and I am very satisfied. The D2 is excellently processed, the action is great, the complete build quality for 30 to 35 dollars is top notch. In my opinion, it is a Civivi Elementum killer for a lower price.
We truly are living in a golden age of pocket knives. A knife with this much design features, ergos and quality materials for under $30. Twenty years ago this just was not possible. Ganzo / Firebird have had materials tested many times and found to be genuine. On the subject of thread locker, this is just me. I always use a small bit of blue Loctite 248 on the tiny T6 pocket clip screws (only the clip screws). Never had a problem taking them back out. And I only use thread locker on the pivot if its a problem with loosening during use. One mistake I often see when people use thread locker, they don't let the thread lock set. If you use it let it set overnight to harden, otherwise your wasting your time. Again I am no expert, just what I have found works for me.
I have quite a few knives, most at least 2-3 times the price of the FH 922, some considerably more than that. It’s a bit too heavy for my EDC, but the FH 922 is the smoothest knife I own. Great fidget factor, perfectly centered, and RAZOR sharp. Quality top to bottom. An absolutely amazing deal.
I subscribe to multiple knife “guys,” and I really find yours very entertaining and informative! Straight forward and no “beating around the bush!” Great work! I have subscribed and will look forward to seeing more!
Thank you April! I hope to see you on the live streams! We have a blast, and WomenCarryKnives is often a guest. My wife will be on camera for the Christmas Eve Special too!
Love it. Blade is almost a Nesmuk and sharp. Handle has a "fuller" down the center on both sides for grip 'n flip. It's a poor man's Ray LaConico. Best damn Ganzo at any price.
You can’t beat the price for that. I have about 10 or 12 ganzos and all am them are solid. It’s been awhile since I’ve bought one, but I’m for sure gonna pick this one up, love the blade and the flipper tab on it. Really all around lol
I can't tell you how many people I've met and a Ganzo was in their pocket. One reason is the price, and the other is that they work! Some people beat up on them, but not everybody can afford to collect expensive knives! Thank you for always being a part of the conversation broham. I really appreciate it!!
Rob! I'm so happy that another knife-nut has found us! Welcome to the Beez Hive brother! See you on the live stream Friday night!! If not, then I'll see you in the comments broham! Thank you!!
Thanks for the video, I love collecting knives but on the lower end money wise, I got burnt on a knife awhile back and won’t buy one without your review
Never owned a Ganzo . When I first started hanging out in the knife community there was a lot of controversy surrounding Ganzo for making clones . That was very prevalent in the discussion , but in that same discussion people always said that for the money you can’t beat a Ganzo . They used to make a cleaver style blade that always caught my attention , but I never pulled the trigger . Thanks for the video !! Take care 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
I think they are great for "non-knife" people, beginners, and people that enjoy a good beater knife they don't have to worry about. Thank you Tom, I appreciate you brother!!
My second Firebird by Ganzo and I am equally impressed with both. This is a solid well built flipper with a very smooth fast action.Great carry size, as well.
Definately a great knife especially when you factor in price and materials. Good steel and great action, I prefer thumb studs to a flipper but that's just preference. Thanks for the look see Beez and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable
Mine just arrived today. Love the green on this. My first Ganzo and I am impressed with fit and finish. A bit worried about the shape of the handle in the hand but surprisingly comfortable! Love the blade shape too! Bigger than I thought but very edc. Tempted to buy another, maybe orange for outdoors. Just found your channel and just subscribed!
Hey, I dig Ganzo. I have 4 or 5, good solid knives that get better every generation. This one looks like a winner. Nice slicey blade. Guess what the kids are getting for Christmas, lala!
I own the FH21 and FH31. Both amazing EDC knives for the price. I believe Paddy had one sent to a metallurgist friend to test the steel and it came back as being real D2. Hard to beat them for the price. The ones I got both came with a carry bag… and a Band-Aid.
I’m going to buy one of these because it reminds me of a cross between my Monterey bay ezc and my sencut scepter, but I do wish it was in something besides d2 but I guess then the price would be more.
It does look like a hybrid of those! Yeah, I'll take D2 for a good knife under $30. I've come to really like D2 also. It keeps a wicked edge, and I haven't had any rust issues with it other than 2 Kershaws. Thank you for being a part of the conversation broham. I really appreciate it!!
I'm all about that BUDGET!!! (Because I'm on one😄) Welcome to the Beez Hive brother!! I appreciate you being a part of the conversation, and hope to see you on the live stream Friday night! Thank you JBn951!!!
Great review. Maybe it is just me but that looked a lot more like a spear point than a drop point. The action was great. I have that same driver actually 2. The CRKT one and one by Scout Leather. Still thinking of getting the stubby for the really tough ones. Love Wiha bits. I believe they are the best ones you can get but that is just my opinion I have had others that rounded quickly. Haven't had that with Wiha unless I did something I shouldn't have. Like KPL. Haven't used the heavy or extra light yet. One day I will get them all and the tiny tools you mentioned. Thanks for showing that Firebird. If nothing else would be great to learn how to sharpen with. Hope to get stones to do freehand someday as well.
Thank you Rick! Yeah, blade shapes these day are all so close to each other, not to mention all the hybrid blade shapes! You're right about learning how to sharpen with one! Thin blade stock, and if you mess it up real bad, you only spend twenty-something on it right! The KPL heavy is real nice for the detent ball. You are welcome my friend! Thank you for being a Beez Blade'r!
Thanks for the look on this Ganzo. I’ve been eyeing this one for awhile. I have a few ganzos and they are great work knives. May I recommend the FH11!!🐝🐝🐝
I like it. I really prefer flippers, because of some nerve damage in my arms, that makes thumb studs difficult and painful. as far as the reference... I have no damn clue. and I am OK with that ;P
I have a couple friends, that if it's not a flipper they are just not interested. A good flipper knife with great action is a wonderful thing! It's a Family Guy thing hahaha. Thank you brother, and here's to a wonderful week!
Don't have a Ganzo yet, haven't had the guys to order one on Ali####. That looks good, Beez! Does not look like a budget knife at all, specially with the bearings!
I think the term "bad boy" went out several years ago. Unless there is some prize for us counting how many times you say that before we bail? (bailing)
Ha! Ordered this last night, looking forward to playing with it! My only criticism of the design is I wish the blade was slightly less tall so they could've hidden it all in the handle when closed. Other than that, what's not to like for 28 bucks?
Nice! I can see that, but if it wasn't a little taller it may not be as slicey. It would look pretty sleek with no blade showing though! I'm having fun with it! Thank you Sam!
Another great vid man. Dang that is smooth, and I sure do love those nice leaf-shaped blades! Ganzo makes fantastic knives darn affordable. However, I would debate your pronunciation of the brand name Ganzo.
Just ordered the Orange to go with my Helm Watch Band on my Casio Marlin duro in Blue . Think " Life Guard " or " Dive Kit " I usually like OD green , or FDE but Orange is the New Black ........... these $30.00 knives are my new addiction , the D2 , Ball bearing , G10 or Micarta handles . Why spend $200.00 on a knife ? I wouldn't open a letter with a $200.00 knife it's just to look at , the real pleasure in a knife is to EDC and abuse it , and the one's I really like I buy 2 .
Right on! The action and ergos on this one are amazing too! It's nice to not have to worry if you drop it on the concrete or if you want to pitch it in the back of the truck. Orange is a lot easier to find too 😅
For many years, every knife was a hardware store beater. I’d use it “up” in a year or so and get another one. Never much cared beyond “does it cut?” My tastes may have changed, but when I see something like this, I have to wonder why I spend such stupid money on knives. Thanks for an awesome and complete review.
Love a good budget knife. Especially a Ganzo! Great name for a knife brand Ganzo...sounds like something you would say when things get crazy. "That's completely Ganzo!"😂 Bgood
The name makes me think of a clown😅. This knife is a lot like the Petrified Fish 818. Both have great ergos, action and aesthetics. Thank you Moose Duty!
Right on great video by the way I have to agree with you there on the crkt driver even though it's actually the only one I don't have, I have the other two made by the same guy John Wu and I've got to say I absolutely love them! So if you get a chance definitely check out the crkt pocket driver and all aluminum stubby 6 bit driver
Thank you! I've seen the 6 bit driver, but I don't think I've seen the pocket driver. Thank you for the recommendations!! I definitely need more drivers in my life!
There's just too many out there to choose from😅. Maybe I should review the Mermaid knife next, or the batwing knife lol. Thank you John, and have a great week brother!
With a budget knife like this, it's difficult to spend much more for the average joe. I see some knife companies struggling soon. Break ball bearings in? Is that a thing?
That's why I think it would be a great gift knife for more non-knife-type folks. Hahaha, more like break in a little travel path for the bearings and detent ball. Thank you G C, and have a great week brother!!
I changed the spark plugs on my 4.8l Silverado the first 7 plugs in and out like butter no sweat , no# 8 on the fire wall behind ac lines and at a funky angle took longer to RNR than the first 7 plugs . I HATE ENGINEERS !!!!!!! . Like having to remove the Transmission to replace the fog light bulb .
I am NOT a knife snob. While I do have high end knives (Benchmade, Pro Tech, etc.) I also have moderately priced knives that are workers. Being made in China is a deal breaker for me...even if a high end was made in China I would avoid it...just my 2 cents.
Hello, I'm from Bavaria, and are new on this channel. I like this knife, but in Germany is this not permitted. Shit!!! Many Years ago, i have many knifes, automatics and handopen knifes. This one is perfect for every day, and I want it. I buying it. Best wishes from Bavaria, for your family and you all the best. Your video is awesome. Thanks from Martin. 👍👍👍👍🍀🍀🍀🍀⭐⭐⭐⭐
Nice review of a budget knife. As others have mentioned, I've heard Ganzo does alot of clones, which sways me away from them. The other concern is the steel used versus what its supposed to be, although I do believe LTK has done alot of testing of Ganzo knives and they've been correct steel. To each their own, I certainly wouldn't throw away a free Ganzo, so there's that. Keep buzzing along, these reviews get better and better the more you dig in, more specifically the knife teardown.
I appreciate that 2873lonewolf! Yeah, right now I'm fine with a Ganzo knife as long as they are not trying to pass off a knife as another brand. I may feel different in a year, but time will tell. Heck, I would take a free butter knife hahaha. Thank you for the kind words my friend! Here's to a great week!
Ganzo is always great quality and I hate it when people and reviewers are too good to mention Ganzo Firebird knives. A great knife is a great knife. Thanks for the review!

They still make a Rat clone for 20 bucks. So they haven't changed their ways. Why would they if they're making sales?

Yesss! Love it!
I am NOT a knife snob. While I do have high end knives (Benchmade, Pro Tech, etc.) I also have moderately priced knives that are workers. Being made in China is a deal breaker for me...even if a high end was made in China I would avoid it...just my 2 cents.
I totally get it. That's a big conversation we have in the live chats. Thank you brother✊👊
Same blade than a spanish cabritera? Great Ganzo
My lube of choice for my guns and other things is AWT , Advanced Weapons Technology . Never use WD40 on firearms . it's Just my choice
Copy that. I hadn't heard of that one.

Family Guy Lilyhammer Lollipops . 😂
😅 Yess!
Ball bearings🙄
People can spend $35~99 and get 10 times that knife. PF is killin it. Kubey! Rocks! Kiser, Kiser. Nice. Twosun.
