Love what your doing bro, but I swear you mess with my anxiety so hard lol. You’ll be about to place a building...... then you move it around 1200 times while talking and I’m just like “FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!” Lmao
Have you played the game? Because that's exactly what this games makes you feel like doing haha. Fidgeting with the buildings to get them just right for what you want.
i dont mean to be offtopic but does anybody know of a method to log back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost my password. I would love any assistance you can offer me!
The terrain in this game looks a lot more realistic than other city builders like Banished. I really appreciate good looking terrain/geological features.
My very favorite thing about this game is the automatic path generation based on where the population goes and how often!!! I've been wanting to start seeing that in these types of games!! Impressive, most impressive. It really makes the map feel like it's naturally and uniquely changing as your town grows.
Thanks for making videos! My only critical statement is that the content don't seem to progress as far as the video thumbnails have led me to believe. Example: Compare the thumbnail of this video with the last seconds of footage (I'm looking at 36:17). This pattern repeats in Ep 2. From video thumbnails, I'm hoping to get a glimpse of an awesome future-state of the game and then when I watch the video I hope to go on the journey of how the player achieved this state. Cheers.

Also: "people didn't have survey equipment in the 1800's." Land surveying is an ancient practice that dates back at least to 1,400 B.C., when the ancient Egyptians used land surveying for the taxation of land plots. Four thousand years ago, Egyptians used measuring ropes, plumb bobs, and other instruments to gauge the dimensions of plots of land.
This is the first I’ve seen of this game but I already love it. I love all the little details, like the people bringing over one piece of wood and then someone else assembling it into pieces. So cool!
Density of cities in the medieval era was such a big thing that houses had to be build with the upper floors larger than the lower floors so that it would allow building to be build as closely as possible and would allow room for a narrow alley below
Sorry but you're wrong. During medieval era artisans(coblers, blacksmiths ect.) got assigned land plots in the city, these plots ware as small as possible to keep the city as small as possible because defensive walls we're like out of this world expensive. So, people would build the 1st floor exactly to the plot lines (witch commonly accommodated the workshop), and the second floor wider, because there we're no rules regarding wider upper floors, the same could was done for 3rd and 4th floors. In some cities the houses got so wide by the 4-5 floors they actually touched, and the street was under them. But in time various housing regulations have been put in place and we do not see this today
Fun fact: They used a more primitive technique but they were able to conduct a land survey and build straight, by use of lengths of rope, to mark straight lines, set heights and measure distance :)
I like that they (or he) went for "classic" game UI with nice icons as well as neat graphics and not that simplified stuff we get all the time for the last couple years. Would like to see paths or simple streets added soon so you can actually make nice efficient paths and make the village look more realistic.
This is a random question but is the last name “Melnik” popular in Ukraine? I’ve heard it’s the most popular Ukrainian last name but I’m not sure if that’s true lol
Love this game, just installed the new veriosn on steam and are going to play it all day long, thanx for a great video and i look forward to the next episode.
i want a city builder where we actually see them living their lives instead of just disappearing into a building lol. like see them actually eat and sleep and play and talk
A little unrelated but will be cool if someone made a city builder game in the renaissance period so that you can "chain" games so that you can go through the ages with dawn of man as the start and surviving mars at the end. As with the rennaisance that is because it is the only period where i haven't seen a city builder for it. There are games for other era like prehistoric, roman, medieval, industrial, modern, space

Same for me. PUT DOWN THE GOSH DARN BUILDINGS!!

“Ostriv” simply means an “Island” in Ukrainian
In Bosnian language we say Ostrvo, very similar.
Interesting
Hey you all. Your languages basically based on Russian language. Just called it Russian language. Or Slav language thingy.
Dzulfiqar Bagas Tito don’t forget that the Kievan Rus (Ukraine) was wayyy before Russia, buddy:)

Honestly, the graphics of Banished are not the point of that game.

why cant someone make a castle defense game like this, its either one or the other and neither are truley satisfying at the end of the day
The time it took this guy to place a building made this tutorial/gameplay hard to watch
It's nice game, worth money.
Fun fact: They used a more primitive technique but they were able to conduct a land survey and build straight, by use of lengths of rope, to mark straight lines, set heights and measure distance :)
your original Ostriv videos were what was shown to me in the first place that got me hooked on your videos.

Ostriv (Ostrów in Polish) it's old slavic word for a island surrended by the river where normally the new town has been situated ;)
in fact, this is a ukrainian game
in Ostriv EVERYONE say's not to build grid cities, end up building grid cities lol
