@@rajrocky8055 it's not a joke , a lot of the poor communities received and they still receive free 100% scholarships in my state , free housing too now , all the sc and St communities also the backward classes get 1 lakh when any of their son/daughters get married , especially the minorities, there was/is also a welfare scheme where the government was giving free land for business and building houses around 100 square yards , which is more than enough for a decent sized house , and for the food crisis government provides food at RS.5 which is just around 8-9 cents (0.09$) , also rice and other basic utilities are provided for less than 10 RS per kg , free health care is provided, free education is provided which is for all the people not just poor , in the first time in history, even a poor person is earning more than a software engineer by doing petty seasonal businesses , and trust me when I say that because I've been with some of the below poverty line people , they just prefer to live like poor , they don't show their money like the middle class and rich classes do , you're still living in the 80, 90s where poverty was at its highest, which was Congress ruled , I hope you see the new stats and become a more educated about the reality 😁
