trying to fix up a floor in a veyr old house, there was currently glue on plastic tiling on top of wooden plank floor. The house is crooked and all the walls are uneven, so we are thinking first pouring a concrete floor over the wood/pplastic tiling entirely to level up the room. My Question is; Can we apply what you showed on your video on top of the concrete flooring? Thank you!
lol I'm such an ass I was watching this thinking "duh! who doesn't know how this stuff!" because it is mostly common sense... like the threshold to separate wood floors room to room because they expand differently... I've never really thought of that n i should have! anyway, made realize I was being a douche lol
its not a floating floor... floating floor construction is seperation of structural floor by a layer of resilient material such as quilted material or glass wool so as to insulate against impact noise and air born noise ohhhhhhh.... thats what you did.... ohk ... you are correct... sorry
out of all the flooring videos online... this one is the best

Wow
what measurements are you using to stagger your pieces??
Very informative, but I don't understand the term "floating floor", and do all floors float after replacing an old floor?
+JP T They do not require nails or glue like typical wooden floors thus they 'float' as a lay above the underlay.
What to do under a dishwasher? Leaving there will make a dishwasher unremovable in case of repair or replacing.
What surface is underneath your new flooring? Is that tile?
It does look like tiling but it's actually only vinyl flooring :)

The keys
This time I will use Woodprix instructions to make it easy with my own hands.
That is not a floating floor! A floating floor is a floor that rests on joists above the original floor!
Alex A thats called a subfloor, and it's not floating cause you have to screw it or nail it to the joists.
hahahahaha
