Whats it been? A yeah and a half. If I had just focused, this should been a fast project. Glad to be done with it.

nice project, I have a super small cheapo t12 clone that takes dc power directly, so I rigged a couple fuses to fit in the terminal with wires going to a barrel jack to connect it to my milwaukee battery. Very crude set up but it works Definitely don't have the battery life you will though lol

Yeah I've seen projects like that. I started this almost 2 years ago but if I'm not mistaken seeing that online gave me the idea to do it with ego battery.
They are kinda pricey batteries but I already had them from my yard tools.

If I can find a replacement handle for my KSGER, I might have to try this mod for myself!

Yeah my main problem with the t12 stations is that I hate the handle. I'm kinda surprised no one has made an adapter for the real Hakko handles but I really haven't looked into that

Haha surprised you noticed! Yeah I just never actually use it. Maybe a future video? I'm spoiled rotten I have JBC, Hakko and Metcal in my office.

@@FixedUntilBrokenYeah I noticed when you said "It's working" Huh? it's still off? 😂 Oh, wait, now I remembered the LDO issue lol.

@@dabyd64 I'm not the biggest fan of the Metcal. Mostly just because I can never remember what temp the tips are. It's probably the most powerful of the 3. I got it for free from the dumpster at work. The Hakko I use for desoldering gun. I couldn't justify the cost of the JBC desoldering gun. The JBC station I got a really good price on. I bought it first out of the 3.
