I had my driving test in Greenham yesterday and its important to know that at the roundabout at the around the 10:23 marker - if unable to go into right lane to turn right and decide to go straight through roundabout instead (as I did) there is one specific examiner at the driving centre who will threaten to terminate the test due to "health and safety" regulations for not following instructions - as I had this happen to me yesterday. At this stage I had not yet made any mistakes but was so flustered by the whole thing that I ended up making some serious mistakes and failed (take full ownership for that). But important to keep that in mind for this test centre!
It felt very similar to Route 2. I found that taking the test at 8 AM was ideal since there were fewer cars on the road, and I was able to return to the test center before the rush, around 8:30 or 8:40. There are two examiners at the center-one uses a sat nav, and the other doesn’t. I ended up with the one who doesn’t use sat nav. This examiner was calm and very helpful. He even gave advice at the roundabout, saying, "I would recommend being in the right lane." I was asked to do a forward bay parking in a parking area near the test center, on the left as you exit. I was also instructed to stop on the left about two or three times. I had familiriased myself with the roads and roundabout by seeeing these videos and google maps. Two days before the test, I went near the test center with my instructor, and it was one of the worst drives I've ever had. It's all about managing your nerves. I stayed calm, didn't worry about the outcome, and showed good patience at the roundabouts and junctions. In the end, I passed with 4 minors.
@abhishekkumar5258 thank you so much for the advice mate, mines at 8am in a month or so, have driven round the area a couple times but going a few more before then as I'm doing the test in my own car. Congrats on passing
Thanks Mr. Vikas for your contribution for driving test routes. Great learning from your videos.
