LARSEN AURORA:
The predominant theme of this strings design was to create a string for all. A new string for all instruments and players adding a faster response and deeper density, reaching that sweet spot of balance between brilliance, warmth, breadth and focus for almost all violins.

Offered in full size medium and strong and medium fractional sizes from 3/4 to 1/16, Aurora violin opens the opportunity for all to learn, develop and perform with professional grade strings at an accessible price.
LARSEN ORIGINAL:
Larsen Original for Violin deliver a warm yet direct and unhesitating feel with rapidly achieved tuning stability and consistency of sound. Original, reliable, robust projection, ideal for the brighter to neutral sounding instrument in need of some complementary warmth.
Available in medium and strong tension as individuals strings. Larsen Original medium strings are also offered as sets with either E ball or loop with D aluminium.
LARSEN VIRTUOSO:
Larsen Virtuoso strings are offered in two tensions, medium and strong. Virtuoso medium and strong are both somewhat lower in tension than their conventional equivalent gauges. The medium tension strings show extraordinary string response, playability and sound modulation capability. The strong version is more focused in sound, more ‘soloistic’ and with higher resistance to the bow.
Extremely well received and consistently reviewed as setting the new standard for the violin. The ambition was to create a truly innovative synthetic core string at only moderate tension yet capable of delivering a richly nuanced sound with exceptional volume.
Eminently playable and noted for its remarkable string response and reliability the Larsen Virtuoso is now available as sets or individual strings with E ball or loop end. Purpose designed with moderated tension we offer medium and strong options to suit warm to neutral sounding instruments.
LARSEN IL CANNONE SOLOIST:
The Il Cannone ® celebrates Paganini’s legacy with what we believe to be a truly revolutionary sound.
In the design and development process here at Larsen we always aim to produce the exceptional but it is only during the testing and trial process with hands-on musicians that we can truly know for certain. And we would seem to have succeeded. The feedback from musicians has confirmed that playability and feel on the fingerboard is excellent with a good resistance to the bow.
LARSEN TZIGANE:
Larsen Tzigane: Directly inspired by Ravel’s Tzigane and so delivering a richly smooth, saturated, sound with an overlay of sensual warmth. Rapidly played in and eminently playable with excellent focus and projection. A mellow accompaniment for the brighter to neutral sounding instrument.
The strings are offered in two tensions, medium and strong. The strong tension strings offer the most volume and resistance to the bow. For very bright sounding violins, Tzigane strong tension is the ideal choice.

Aimed at leading professionals and soloists as well as inspiring aspiring student and amateur violinists, we have developed an entirely new synthetic core at the heart of this new sound. Combining a new winding process we have further enriched the colours of this unique new formulation.
The new Direct & Focused sets have already travelled the world.
