  • In Sci fi interstellar and interplanetary warfare, elite special forces operate in the shadows, carrying out critical missions that often determine the outcome of interstellar conflicts. Among these legendary warriors are the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODSTs) of the UNSC in Halo, the Tempestus Scions Warhammer 40K and the Clone Troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic in Star wars. Each group, forged in the crucible of war, exemplifies the pinnacle of military prowess, tactical acumen, and unyielding resolve. These special forces, each with their distinct heritage and tactics, share a common bond: an unwavering dedication to their cause and a readiness to face insurmountable odds. Here in this video we will assess each one of them and come up with an answer as to which is the best in comparison.

    Welp...
Armor is better in 40k because carapace can protect from bolter rounds, next is star wars because specifically commando armor is better than clone armor and than odst
Weapon is correct but commandos have very cool blaster that can be changed !IN BATTLE! from standart cqc to sniper rifle and even grenade launcher
    Mobility:
You should read 6 Ed codex about tempestus scions, where they were dropped from orbit ON THEIR OWN WITHOUT ANYTHING but their equipment and SILENTLY captured AA guns of fortress world and then astartes conquered it.
And about jet-packs scions have these too like elysians(they even have scions as elite units in their regiments)
    And tactics yeah...
    40k just have more enemies
So again one-sided win for scions)
P.S. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR VIDEOS I think it's best comparing content about these AMAZING universes

Having more enemies doesn't mean better tactics, in fact it just means more ways of being defeated. Despite this, the Zions are not after anyone, Since all the special forces mentioned are used in the same scenarios in their respective universes, that being throwing soldiers behind enemy lines and hoping they complete their mission and return alive. Otherwise, you're right

Clone commando have shielding armor, they are much stronger, intelligent and have better reflex than any standard human in 40K because they are heavely modified by the kaminoens, they are to form by mandalorian commando so they have one of the most rude, brutal and difficult formatin capable in the Pre and Clone war era. We can speak about the capacity of the clone armor who have aim assit, long range coms, HUD for map and gestion the filter the multiple types of vision like infrarouge and ultra violet vision. The weaponnery who use plasma and work like this: The projectile hurt the body+burn and after that explose for crush ur internal organ and can do 30cm of diameter hole in ferrbeton. The commando have modulaire weapon who can be an assault heavy rifle, a grenade launcher using percing grenade or HE grenade or be a sniper rifle capable of percing B2 hull who are very difficult to percing.
clearly clones commando are just a stray updage have better armor, weapon and training.

Considering by the end of the Clone Wars they were like 16 years old with like 3 years of combat experience. And the average Tempestus Scion is in his 20's with much more time training and more combat experience. And that the average ODST is in his 30s to late 40s at the end of the Human Covenant war with decades of experience .
I am not sure that is going to matter much in actual combat against veterans who know what they are doing. Considering the commonly known saying ..
"Beware of an old man in a profession where men usually die young."
And the Fact that.. Old warriors did not get old by accident; they got old by being wise, having the right knowledge, and being tough. Never underestimate an old man who has grown up in a rough profession or a rough environment.
Basically the old guys are probably going to whip the young Clone Troopers ass regadless of how fancy his gear is. Btw the ODSTs and Tempestus Scions have the same tech in their helmets.

Iirc in the clone commando novels it mentions that by the tail end of the clone wars the clone trooper numbers were up to a total of appx. 3 million.
The clone commandos were about 1k before geonosis, and about 500 afterwards.
And there were only 100 alpha arcs in the beginning.
Over the war however, the republicwas forced to start backfilling positions as well, i.e. "promoting" troopers to commando.

All these special forces are amazing at what they do, but scions are next level. With the enemies they have to face comparied to these other universes and that they can succeed, scions take this pretty handily. I remember in Eisenhorn a squad of Kasrikins are deployed with Eisenhorn and a Daemon Host appears and begins to attack them, when they know their weapons are ineffective against the Daemon they just whip out their grenades and jump onto him blowing themselves up without a moment of hesitation to give Eisenhorn a chance to escape.

Now, if it's Halo humanity in 10 millennia or 40 millennia from the current setting? Well, let's just say with the shoulders of Giants they are standing on, they would reach height not even the imperium of man can compare.

I would say the LAAT used by the GAR would arguably be better than drop pods because after deploying troops, the dropships/gunships can provide fire support. Even if they don't linger, they have air to ground and air to air missiles depending on variant that they can fire off on approach and as it returns to the ship it came from.

Objectively speaking, applying real-life military terms, a normal clone soldier is already superior to a Tempestus offspring, not only genetically, which would be the copy of war heroes, the Tempestus equipment is large, heavy, batteries in the back, a large weapon, low rate of fire, armor that protects, but is too heavy, it is impractical, such a soldier is only useful in a few situations, the clone armor offers everything a soldier really needs, an advanced sensor package, power of computer processing for sight and aiming, temperature regulation, full protection, a versatile weapon with a range almost as great as the artillery of the empire of man, with enough power to literally turn several soldiers to ashes. The official guides explain how the clone armor can resist that kind of shots, becoming immune to the laser, it is well known that the plastoid is almost impenetrable against solid ammunition weapons, chemical weapons, biological weapons, shrapnel... The tempestus are not bad, but they have no chance, it is like facing the red baron in his most modern plane against a well-trained pilot, whose plane has a cannon instead of a machine gun and with armor that makes it slow and unmaneuverable, there is not much opportunity.
