Well - Its only been around 42 years since I last heard it - but I finally found it again!! It came with our Sharp GF 6060 - which was a somewhat underpowered (3W per channel) sibling of the broader GFxxxx series. Being a kid at the time, I was desperate to get that stereo sound effect. FM radio stations had a weak signal, plus there was static. But this tape - this was a marvel of stereo recording - or at least that's what I thought at the time. That rotating synth in the Hungarian Dance - which goes from ear to ear - was the epitome of what it meant to be in stereo! Thank you for the upload. 42 years! I can still remember the tune. Wow.
I FOUND IIIIIIIIITT!!!! YEEEEEEEAH!! Thank you! Daaaaamnnn, i loved this music when i had that sharp cassette radio way back then and this was the exact demo cassette. Ages it haunted me to get back the music.
I’m so indebted to you for uploading this. It came with my GF5757 back in 1982 and the tape was lost somewhere in that decade but never left my head! Listening to it after all these years is fascinating. Reminds me of early Yellow Magic Orchestra or Yukihiro Takahashi’s first album - definitely had a subliminal influence on this 8 year-old listener!
Thanks for uploading. I had a Sharp GF-1770 that I bought in 1981 and it came with this same demo tape that was later lost. For decades I had this great disco version of the Hungarian dance only in my ear.
escuchar esta musica me hace revivir parte de mí infancia y muchos recuerdos familiares. Gracias por subirlo. Me alegró el día y los días venideros! GRACIAS
Typically most of the Sharp demonstration tapes of this era are blank on side B, for the new owner to record on themselves, this one is no exception, side B has no recordings on it from the factory.
