Sir i have completed my 3 year graduation in may 2024 but i have a backlog in 5th semester whose exam will be in December 2024 so
1) what duration of course should i choose

In the duration of degree, you should choose the number of years the course usually takes, in your case, 3 years. In the nest box, you will be asked the time of completion of the degree for you, there you should mention the time at which you completed. In your situation, you still haven't technically finished your graduation, so you can give the final year option and give your last semester marks in the marks bracket. You can then take the CAT exam and then at the time of interview submit your graduating documents. All the best.

I have a confusion regarding my bachelor degree. I'm a bsc agri graduate but in the form filling I select *Bsc in agriculture, rural and tribal development* mistakenly. You can skip the work experience section. You need to only fill that, if you have some work experience, and that is only considered after your graduation.

If you have marks mentioned with the percentage, you can fill that. If you don't have any marks or percentage you can click on the promoted without marks option. This option was mainly created for the students whose colleges only gave the pass or fail option without any marks in their report card.
I finished my College Final year in 2022 but Cleared my Backlogs & got my Certificate in 2023. What should I enter in Year of Completion !?
You should enter 2023 as the year of completion in your application. The completion year refers to when you officially received your degree or certificate, not just when you finished your coursework. Since you cleared your backlogs and received your certificate in 2023, that is the appropriate year to list.

Hi, CAT Application considers only work experience after your graduation. Since you have finished your graduation in 2020, you will have 3+ years of work experience, which will give you full points for the work experience section. You can just mention starting date of your work ex as the date after your graduation. It won't be a problem. You can just provide the documents at the time of interview. I had a doubt while registering for CAT 2024.I had filled the form according to my class 12th marksheet which had combined total of both 11th and 12th marks. But only now I realized it required only 12th marks. Is it acceptable or will there be an opportunity to correct it ?
You need to mention the final marks provided by your 12th board in the CAT application. This final grade is your intermediate grade, which is inclusive of 11th and 12th. You have filled out the form correctly. There is no need to change anything.

For the application process you can just upload the soft copies you have with you. We suggest you to immediately request your college for the new certificates because during the interview process, there will be a process where they will verify your documents and you need them at that point of time.

You need to fill out the whole final graduation grade you get in your graduation certificate. This grade is usually the combined marks of all the years.

Hi, assuming you passed your 12 in the years 2020 and 2021, in the CAT application you will have the option Promotion or pass with out marks.
(If you have completed your HSC/12th/Equivalent/Diploma Course in the year 2020/2021 and haven’t received results or have been promoted/passed without marks, then you can mark the flag ‘Promotion/Pass without Marks’ to proceed further with the application form. * Only valid for candidates passing out in 2020/2021*)
The above bracket words are mentioned in the CAT registration guide. So you can follow the same.
Sir, those who belong to the COVID batch, who didn't give their 12th boards, do they have to click on "Passed and Promoted" and cannot enter their %?
Yes, For the covid batch you need to enter passed and promoted and can't enter the percentile if you choose that option.

If you have the marks for then, you can definitely enter those. This is for those institutes or boards who have only pass or fail as the option. If your institute provided marks you can go ahead and enter those.

You can take the option of the final year and by the time you get your interview slot you can just show them the certificate of completion in the interview process. This will be the best case. You can even take the completed option if you want, since you will be finishing it before you even attempt CAT exam. All the best.

CAT correction window's date is September 25. In that window, you can change your photograph, signature, and test centres. You can try on that date to change your photograph. All the best.

The month of completion for 10th and 12th is different on my study certificate and results sheet (difders by 1-2 months). Which one should i choose?

In the CAT application, it is instructed to mention all the subjects in your marksheet, irrespective of your board guidelines. How to fill Maximum marks and total marks obtained for CBSE student if individual subject marks are given as Grade point in marks sheet?
For CBSE, For maximum marks you can just add all the maximum marks different subjects has and for your individual marks you can just use the grade point you get and convert into the percentage. Usually in CBSE A1 is 10, A2 is 9, A3 is 8 and so on.
Percentage=( your grade point / maximum grade point)*100
With percentage you can get your marks individually. Get the total marks and you can use that in the CAT form.
Usually for CBSE the percentage is given by multiplying your final CGPA by 9.5. You can use that for your final percentage.

What about the lockdown batch who completed graduation this year...like in my case my undergrad should have started in 2020...but owing to lockdown it started in 2021 and 1st year was completed in a marathon fashion to cover up the delay...so in such cases what should we put as out Month/Year of course commencement date???
You can mention the same as it is mentioned on your graduation certificate. This ensures that there won't be any discrepancies regarding the timings during the interview process. Sir i completed my 10th from icse board and i had total 10 subjects. In the marksheet there are 2 types of marks that are total marks and percentage marks because i had subjects which were combined for example Physics Chemistry and Biology came under Science subject. So in total marks all 10 subject marks are individually given but in percentage marks 6 subjects marks are given so which marks should i consider for cat form?
In ICSE format, the total marks are 600, and you will get the total marks where they combine all subjects like physics, chemistry, and biology for science and history and geography for social. Just take the marks you got for overall 600 and find the percentage marks based on that. You can add the percentage marks((Your marks/600 )*100) and the overall marks you got (for 600) in the CAT application.

Hi, if you have aggregate marks, you can fill them in, but if you don't have them, you can use promotional. Many institutes during the pandemic did not conduct many exams and just gave promotional marks, so in your case, you should fill them in with promotional marks.

During CAT correction window you will have the chance to check and correct your photo and sign in your CAT application. So you can go ahead and submit and if there are problems with your photo and signature you can change them at that time.
But be sure to check your other details, since they cannot be changed again after submission.

I am an nc-obc , in the certificate issue date, we have input non-creamy layer certificate issue date or permanent caste, as the caste number and caste serial number is mentioned on both.

How to get the percentage out of sgpa?
For SGPA you can just divide your SGPA by the maximum possible SGPA and multiply it with 100. It gives the SGPA in percentage. Typically, if you have 8.2 as your SGPA you will get 82% marks. Hope this helps.
