those little loop charged tohatsu/nissans have some balls, especially the 18hp one. larger block. bolts right on to your 15hp mid in like 25 minutes and a 10mm wrench up and running. they repeatedly dynoe'd them at over 22hp! popular in Australia. Its my belief japanese motors are why OMC and brunswick went to prop rated powerheads... to keep up with these. cheers.

OK, well having a baby might mean time to sell a motor or two? Is the baby 2 stroke or 4 stroke? But seriously, We had an 85 HP Chrysler motor (Brand New in '73) and it did not go well. (Your screenname made me think of that). I am in Red Wing Minnesota. Wondering if you have any 15 HP motors to sell? .

Great running Motor. I have a simmilar looking one, its rated with 18hp, it runs good, but at half throttle one cylinder is failing. Do you have any technical Datas, repair manuals, where can i get spare points and condenser? It is called a Tohatsu 18A.

Good to see you back. Love to watch these old motors run. My 1971 Evinrude Sportwin 9.5 will be back in the water after it gets a new impeller.

That’s awesome that you got that motor running again. My neighbor recently gave me a Honda 2 hp tiller motor. Asked me if I wanted it to tinker with. I naturally said of course.
