Thanks for your helpful video. I have a Hisense 65 inch P8 tv. The EPG button on the remote provides me with the list of programmes in the future. But I don't have the option of recording. I have a 500Gb hard disk plugged into the USB port of the tv to record. I can't locate a menu that enables me to nominate a specific date and time in the future to record. Can you assist?
Ok, times have changed but your basic instructions still apply in April 2018 with my Series 7 Hisense TV as it just started recording on an 8GB thumb drive. Do you know how many GB you need for a 30 minute TV programme for instance? I dare say that I am about to find out!

Des, your instruction steps are a little vague. Your instructions aren't all that clear.
What is the video output file format on the USB? is it mp4, or ??
This button isn't on the U8K from Hisense. Does anyone know how to record on the U8K?
is this video for real?

You need about 4.3 GB space to record a 30 to 45 minute TV movie.
