That's really great, the power of an orchestra is immense, which is interwoven with Vanessa Mae's brilliant performance. But for just once, I wish to see her using a acoustic(wooden, preferably Stradivarius) violin, in formal dress, to play Red Hot .
damn this is like the 5th Vanessa vid i've commented on >< ! She looks slightly outta place there in her red skimpy dress and those suave classical musicians! haha... she's still got all the respect in the world! She's the best.
@ 1:14 it's not a "more complicated version" of the melody, it's just arpeggios! Why are amateurs so easily impressed? Look at what Bach did in his variations (ie; Passacaglia in C minor BWV582), that is MUCH MORE IMPRESSIVE!!!

I totally understand where she's coming from. Break down the walls of convention and spice up what has, for far too long, been a tight ass musical environment. Get on stage with a flashy outfit, rock out to the music and have a fun time feeling the power of such a huge orchestra. Hell, she can get up there with a thong as far as I'm concerned. :-)

This is not a normal luther made instrument, it looks like a mid-grade Zeta. I'm surprised she didn't use a pro series Zeta with the better pickups that are feedback free. The bow is her "normal" megabucks 18th Cent. french made one. She could have just put a top of the line pickup on her Strad. it would have sounded better but isn't as cool.

1) Get half as famous as her in rock violin and write your own piece that gets played by an orchestra, then you can complain about how she dresses 2) She's damned good, and she knows it ;)

And now something on a nicer note! I love the Devil's Trill she plays the most just because it has sooo many cool sounds with the violin. And cuz people were being idiots and dissing her over and over and not being civil on the Toccata vid I want to say that she plays it well. Tricky song for me still >.

if she is that great , why does she have the need to show her legs with a ultra mini skirt? why does she need to market herself with using her legs if she is a great violinist ? if you wanna see a real violinist check out Anne Sophie Mutter.
