When I first heard this in the famous boiler room set I got tears in my eyes and just had to sit down, the nostalgia of 2000's trance and Romy's voice which I've known for years as well... but most of all, it showed me the emotional support I've been missing in the past year. When you read that Romy wrote this song about her cousin as they both lost their mums when they were young, it makes it so much more emotional. I had tears when I re-listend to it again after knowing that.
Yet it works just as well in *How to Have Sex* (2023) starring *Shaun Thomas* (who plays Badger) and *Samuel Bottomley* (who plays Paddy) who grew up within 3 miles of me in *Bradford.* It's a film where Paddy "R-word" a girl multiple times, but she's too scared to say anything to her friends. Badger clearly senses something is wrong with the girl, so he tries to comfort her. I suspect Badger figures it out in the end, however he stays quiet too, and doesn't tell Paddy he was wrong for what he did.

@@CPTLYNXY Yeah, there's definitely a lot of good trance out there like what you mentioned, but it usually gets overshadowed by the stuff that just doesn't have the same heart, emotion, soul, creativity, melodic variety or propulsiveness, a lot of which doesn't even sound like trance music to me and is more focused on buildups and drops than anything else in order to appeal to the mainstream EDM audience.
