Thank you Marc for uploading this fine excerpt of Al Jolson, Doris Day, and Oscar Levant from the Kraft Music Hall.

Indeed, Dean Martin was quit a fan of Jolson. See Dean's page on the website of the International Al Jolson Society, www.jolson.org -- under Jolson Memorializers -- where he does his version of a Jolson song. Please do subscribe to this channel if you've not already, check out more material at the website,, and consider joining the International Al Jolson Society for even more material and access to Jolson's legacy.

I didn’t like what Doris Day did to her grandson Ryan Melcher. She left none of her estate to Ryan when she passed away. Ryan was the son of Terry Melcher, The only child of Doris Day. Terry passed away before Doris did, and her only grandchild Ryan Melcher was not even allowed to attend her funeral. I’m not sure what her problem was to totally leave Ryan out of her will, but Doris Day made no sense at all to me. Ryan seemed a pleasant and sensible young man, who is a successful real estate agent and a hard worker.
