Yuju dances really gracefully and powerful even during their debut. her only problem is she have a hard time memorizing the steps. Just like SinB I'll put Yerin at the same ranking as Sowon. Yerin's dancing is kinda stiff and her timing is sometimes awful.

Honestly, i have seen Yuju's Dance Skill since MGT era. She has a powerfull, clear and sharp dance, her move to. We can't close our eyes with Yuju dance skill. Yuju is my bias. No way she is faking any dance. To me she is not just a great dancer but she is my vocal adrenaline! Lol, plus she fell down 6 times and stood up to keep on dancing. If not for her multiple falls, GFriend might not be noticed!

Her executions on that era still very good tho. On Navillera era I will still rank her 2nd or 3rd. Her problem is she have hard time to remember the choreo but once she did, her execution are very good and she is the most flexible member so I think this is one of her advantages
I agree with this ranking, SinB. 1. SinB, we can’t dent the fact that she has the sharpest moves among them. Her moves are cleanest and smoothest as well as the most accurate. 2. Yuju, her moves greatly improved. Her moves are elegant, graceful and smooth. The power she gives is not a joke. Plus her facial expression and the aura she’s emitting! 3. Umji, her moves are sharp and sweet. The power and the way she execute her moves are cool too. 4. Sowon and Yerin, though from dance line their moves are sharp but I don’t know... It lacks something. Though Yerin’s moves are sharper than Sowon’s but sometimes she just lack the energy and accuracy of the execution I guess. 5. Eunha, her moves are cute, soft and small. I don’t know what the exact word for small is but for me her moves are kinda limited when she moves... But she is not being left out by the others. She’s still a good dancer. I’m not hating on anyone here. I’m stating my opinion based on what I observed in their movements.
I think Yerin's disadvantage is that Umji and Yuju have recently been focusing on improving their flexibility and toning their bodies. Yerin is just not the type to like exercising. This is why she's slowly getting behind the other two. Yuju had been doing pilates and pole dancing and she's already been showing potential at contemporary dance since the beginning. Umji had been stretching a lot and working out plus she probably has a lighter body than Yerin, given how she has a smaller figure (both height and I think her bones would also be smaller than Yerin's). Yerin's advantage over them, though, is that she has a strong and consistent stage presence. Even when her movements lack power, her stage presence makes up for it so she easily catches the attention of people. Plus, she's one of the fastest choreography learners and I think it's what decided their positions. Sinb, Yerin, and Sowon were the ones who would help the others catch up on memorizing the choreography while Sinb, Yuju, and Umji tend to be the ones strict on details.
Highly agree yerin’s facial expressions and state presence were always her strongest suits that’s why she was the face of the group for the first 2 years she knew how to make people interested in the performance even though I feel like she’s declined in her dancing her facial expressions will never not be there
I think it's because of her surgery and yes umji and yuju adds a lot of extra movements and what makes it more attractive is that their expressions are on point with their dance movement so their dance really attracts people specially yuju
Yuju is getting better from what I see. It just that she still needs to improve the arm and leg angle sometimes.. overall, her energy is powerful and has a clean dance.

Yerin is the Lead Dancer and she has given us her best from debut to now. Debut to half of 2017 she showed you she is lead Dancer. During Love Whisper till now she had Surgery (2017) so she could not show her full potential and people would not think she’s lead dancer. She also had a foot injury (2019 Award Show) so she couldn’t dance and that’s why she’s not giving us what she can during Labyrinth Comeback because she needs to heal and not get another injury.
Yuju's dance has always impressed me but she's definitely moved up even more dance wise. Now she is practically main dancer level and that's saying a lot with all the amazing dancers rn
The reason why I chose SinB as the Best Main Dancer over other Main Dancers, is because the way she exert her gestures and movements is clear. You can really see her poise and power in dancing her great ability. She grew up in a small company but still can be leveled amongst main dancers from big agencies.
Park-Jun-Hee said once in a workshop that Yuju wasn't the greatest dancer, but she always had a really good imagination and could adapt her movements directly
I totally agree with this (even if sinb really did rank this). These days people underestimate the ability of umji when it comes to dance/dancing, since they are used to powerful and expressive dance/dancing, but what you can see in her is the kind of technique wherein she executes the moves very “clean” and precise making the choreo look much more easier rather than complicated, her technique is kinda similar too SinB (but SinB is miles ahead). i'm not a buddie but ive been watching gfriend videos and stuff recently so, you're telling me yuju is good is considered a lead dancer(who cares abt companies positions when you have THE SINB saying stuff) the main vocalist (top 2 of this generation and she ain't 2) an international visual, can write and compose, knows english? damn, talk about ace. Its a shame she's the last talked abt member of gfriend on korean brand reputation, but im glad there's a lot of buddies that love her.
I feel bad for yerin... after shes got appendix removal surgery(2017 when she turn 21) her dance become very weak... because if we had appendix removal on 18+/mature age... our body will receive trigger effect.. because we not experienced any strange thing on our body anymore... while people whos below 18 will not experience anything if they got appendix removal.. because they still growing up.. and their body still experience strange thing.. like (voice colour change,breast start become bigger,bone become more less[baby-kids had more bone compared to full grown woman/man] and many more thing)
Honestly, I totally agree with the ranking. From Glass Bead to Fingertip/Love Whisper, GFRIEND's choreography mainly focused on power and strong movements, and Yerin suits that kind of dance styles. However, since GFRIEND's choreography changed into the way which has more gentle and precise movements, Yerin started to show her weaknesses and tendency of stiffness when trying to adapt more elegant and detailed styles of dancing). Honestly, I began to see Yuju's potential in Rough and especially Love Whisper, she can adapt those precise movements really well and beautifully. She was extremely underrated just because she's not good at memorizing choreography quickly. I used to rank her at 3rd after SinB & Yerin, but now she is deserved to be ranked 2nd because of her outstanding improvement. (However, Yerin is still a good idol dancer overall. Every single dancer has his/her own strengths and weaknesses, so does Yerin)
I always enjoy seeing Yuju dance, even when everyone is synced the way she dance just seems different! It seems she's focused, sometimes enjoying? Just a feeling that her dance gives me, very hard to put into words...! (Not a professional here, just stating what I enjoy 😊😊)
Let's say that this is true but we can't hide the fact that they are all in another level in terms of dancing. The fact that they are good individually but they are perfect, mind blowing, amazing, aesthetic, and I don't know how to explain when they performing as a group. I stan GFriend since debut, and at first I actually thought Umji was the Lead Dancer since both her and SinB are the ones in charge of doing the freestyle dances in variety program.
I saw someone commented that umji sometimes better than yerin or same level and other people just disagree and saying that she is just not yerin level and far from her, but yeah everyone change doesnt mean you bad at something you still bad at that thing, even sinb said by her self yerin even sometimes doing good and sometimes dont😒 you are too believe those positions,when in gfriend everyone can be in every position they are not like practice to be in group but to be in soloist, they have visual,dance skill,singing skill, and rap skill all of them is competent enough to go as soloist and so good as a group
I'm really happy and proud as a Yuju bias that she has improved so much. I could see it in their Crossroads comeback how she was part of the main dance line in the choreo. She and the other girls are doing great, please be nice about the rankings, their positions are still valid, and they're all improving in so many ways everyday. My ranking *1. Sinb* she’s smooth, powerful and knows when to project energy and power. She seems to be versatile and overall, a great dancer. However, she lacks in confidence and that can affect her dancing. In the wow thing promotion, she said everyone was talented but her. *2. Yuju or Umji* Umji has always seemed to be best after sinb and yuju has improved tremendously. Umji can be versatile and she’s very smooth and light with her movements. Yuju has a certain style of how she moves? It portrays to be more elegant, smooth and fluid. Yuju has great flexibility and core strength. Looking at yuju’s main vocalist position, Umji should be lead. *3. Sowon* Many underestimate her but I think she’s very good despite her long limbs. *4. Eunha?* Tbh, I think eunha will be a surprising dancer in the future. She used to take dancing lessons and shows that she can pop and do other skills. She’s more shy when showing her dance in shows and can be inconsistent with energy. *5. Yerin* I’ve seen yerin’s dancing and I know she’s had injuries in the past and some, she still recovering from- I understand that. But recently, she hasn’t shown consistency, power, smoothness and fluidity. She’s also quite ‘heavy’ and stiff with some movements, that I wouldn’t find pleasing. Sometimes, she can lack in precision for example, the fever turn is 180 but her feet won’t be at a straight line or exact, compared to Sinb and others. Placing her last doesn’t necessarily mean that she is terrible, but rather, slightly weaker than the other members of gfriend.
I agree with you. Lack of confidence will really affect your dancing skills. I'm just hoping that sinb will gain confidence on her skills. Not just in dancing but also in singing. She is a multi-talented. And in yerin yeah I observed lately that she is kinda heavy and stiff. Just like in their labyrinth dance. She will somewhat lose her balance when she kick but still she is a good dancer.
OMG!! we have the same ranking!!! 😂😂😂 I will also put Yerin on the bottom of the list. She is a great dancer too (She's our Lead Dancer). Especially during Glass Bead and Me Gustas Tu era. because those songs required powerful dancing and our energetic Yerin can provide that. It's just that era after era the other members improved. I also find Eunha and Umji dance more gracefully than Yerin. I sometimes find Yerin's dance steps stiff at some point. maybe that's the reason why most of the time she was put at the back of the formation on their song Crossroads. because the song requires graceful dancing unlike their song Labyrinth where she nailed it. Just my opinion. They're all my bias btw. 😊

SinB's is talent/gift (Her coordination is so graceful). Yuju's is mostly from hard work/perseverance. Look how close their gap is now. SinB better up her game or at least maintain it.😄 And don't forget Yuju's vocals (which is far from the rest) that is still continuously noticeably improving. They should all be inspired and go with Yuju's improvements. *btw Yewon's and Sowon's efforts (in everything) are also evident and paying off.👍

My ranking based on my opinion: 1- Sinb ( She is a goddess when it comes to dancing ) 2- Yerin/ Yuju ( I prefer them for different types of songs. I like Yuju for the melancholic ones like Crossroads or Sunrise and Yerin for the powerful ones like Navillera or Labyrinth) 3- Sowon/ Umji ( They are good dancers and I can't choose between them) 4- Eunha ( She can dance well, but not as much as the other members)

It is difficult to rank them 1 to 6 when they are each outstanding and the 6th best dancer In GFRIEND is still a better dancer than most others in KPop. That said, I agree generally with the rankings given. But I want to give a shout out to Umji. She is one of my favorite vocalists AND she is dependable and always right on with her dancing. She is just a solid and outstanding performer. I find myself watching SinB constantly but then suddenly I’ll notice Umji and realize that she is just killing it in her own quiet way.
To the ones who said umji she is bad dancer yerin is better than her ok : back then in 2015 umji wasn't a trainee for along time i think just for a year and the others were like 3 or 6 years so she still improving herself till khow 2020 so yerin was a lead dancer in 2015 till 2017 but khow i can say yuju or umji desrve this position . ( umji trained for one year and the others trained more than 3 years so she is very good )

1. SinB, we can’t dent the fact that she has the sharpest moves among them. Her moves are cleanest and smoothest as well as the most accurate.
2. Yuju, her moves greatly improved. Her moves are elegant, graceful and smooth. The power she gives is not a joke. Plus her facial expression and the aura she’s emitting!
3. Umji, her moves are sharp and sweet. The power and the way she execute her moves are cool too.
4. Sowon and Yerin, though from dance line their moves are sharp but I don’t know... It lacks something. Though Yerin’s moves are sharper than Sowon’s but sometimes she just lack the energy and accuracy of the execution I guess.
5. Eunha, her moves are cute, soft and small. I don’t know what the exact word for small is but for me her moves are kinda limited when she moves... But she is not being left out by the others. She’s still a good dancer.

I think Yerin's disadvantage is that Umji and Yuju have recently been focusing on improving their flexibility and toning their bodies. Yerin is just not the type to like exercising. This is why she's slowly getting behind the other two. Yuju had been doing pilates and pole dancing and she's already been showing potential at contemporary dance since the beginning. Umji had been stretching a lot and working out plus she probably has a lighter body than Yerin, given how she has a smaller figure (both height and I think her bones would also be smaller than Yerin's). Yerin's advantage over them, though, is that she has a strong and consistent stage presence. Even when her movements lack power, her stage presence makes up for it so she easily catches the attention of people. Plus, she's one of the fastest choreography learners and I think it's what decided their positions. Sinb, Yerin, and Sowon were the ones who would help the others catch up on memorizing the choreography while Sinb, Yuju, and Umji tend to be the ones strict on details.
Highly agree yerin’s facial expressions and state presence were always her strongest suits that’s why she was the face of the group for the first 2 years she knew how to make people interested in the performance even though I feel like she’s declined in her dancing her facial expressions will never not be there
she now also have stomack flu thus maybe the reason she cant do too much exercises like umji and yuju

Yerin is the Lead Dancer and she has given us her best from debut to now.
Debut to half of 2017 she showed you she is lead Dancer. During Love Whisper till now she had Surgery (2017) so she could not show her full potential and people would not think she’s lead dancer. She also had a foot injury (2019 Award Show) so she couldn’t dance and that’s why she’s not giving us what she can during Labyrinth Comeback because she needs to heal and not get another injury.

The reason why I chose SinB as the Best Main Dancer over other Main Dancers, is because the way she exert her gestures and movements is clear. You can really see her poise and power in dancing her great ability. She grew up in a small company but still can be leveled amongst main dancers from big agencies.
Park-Jun-Hee said once in a workshop that Yuju wasn't the greatest dancer, but she always had a really good imagination and could adapt her movements directly

I totally agree with this (even if sinb really did rank this). These days people underestimate the ability of umji when it comes to dance/dancing, since they are used to powerful and expressive dance/dancing, but what you can see in her is the kind of technique wherein she executes the moves very “clean” and precise making the choreo look much more easier rather than complicated, her technique is kinda similar too SinB (but SinB is miles ahead). I feel bad for yerin... after shes got appendix removal surgery(2017 when she turn 21) her dance become very weak... because if we had appendix removal on 18+/mature age... our body will receive trigger effect.. because we not experienced any strange thing on our body anymore... while people whos below 18 will not experience anything if they got appendix removal.. because they still growing up.. and their body still experience strange thing.. like (voice colour change,breast start become bigger,bone become more less[baby-kids had more bone compared to full grown woman/man] and many more thing)
Honestly, I totally agree with the ranking.
From Glass Bead to Fingertip/Love Whisper, GFRIEND's choreography mainly focused on power and strong movements, and Yerin suits that kind of dance styles. However, since GFRIEND's choreography changed into the way which has more gentle and precise movements, Yerin started to show her weaknesses and tendency of stiffness when trying to adapt more elegant and detailed styles of dancing).
Honestly, I began to see Yuju's potential in Rough and especially Love Whisper, she can adapt those precise movements really well and beautifully. She was extremely underrated just because she's not good at memorizing choreography quickly. I used to rank her at 3rd after SinB & Yerin, but now she is deserved to be ranked 2nd because of her outstanding improvement.
(However, Yerin is still a good idol dancer overall. Every single dancer has his/her own strengths and weaknesses, so does Yerin)
I always enjoy seeing Yuju dance, even when everyone is synced the way she dance just seems different!

Umji has always seemed to be best after sinb and yuju has improved tremendously. Umji can be versatile and she’s very smooth and light with her movements. Yuju has a certain style of how she moves? It portrays to be more elegant, smooth and fluid. Yuju has great flexibility and core strength. Looking at yuju’s main vocalist position, Umji should be lead.

Many underestimate her but I think she’s very good despite her long limbs.

Tbh, I think eunha will be a surprising dancer in the future. She used to take dancing lessons and shows that she can pop and do other skills. She’s more shy when showing her dance in shows and can be inconsistent with energy.
*5. Yerin*
I’ve seen yerin’s dancing and I know she’s had injuries in the past and some, she still recovering from- I understand that. But recently, she hasn’t shown consistency, power, smoothness and fluidity. She’s also quite ‘heavy’ and stiff with some movements, that I wouldn’t find pleasing. Sometimes, she can lack in precision for example, the fever turn is 180 but her feet won’t be at a straight line or exact, compared to Sinb and others. Placing her last doesn’t necessarily mean that she is terrible, but rather, slightly weaker than the other members of gfriend.

I agree with you. Lack of confidence will really affect your dancing skills. I'm just hoping that sinb will gain confidence on her skills. Not just in dancing but also in singing. She is a multi-talented. And in yerin yeah I observed lately that she is kinda heavy and stiff. Just like in their labyrinth dance. She will somewhat lose her balance when she kick but still she is a good dancer.

OMG!! we have the same ranking!!! 😂😂😂 I will also put Yerin on the bottom of the list. She is a great dancer too (She's our Lead Dancer). Especially during Glass Bead and Me Gustas Tu era. because those songs required powerful dancing and our energetic Yerin can provide that. It's just that era after era the other members improved. I also find Eunha and Umji dance more gracefully than Yerin. I sometimes find Yerin's dance steps stiff at some point. maybe that's the reason why most of the time she was put at the back of the formation on their song Crossroads. because the song requires graceful dancing unlike their song Labyrinth where she nailed it. Just my opinion. They're all my bias btw. 😊

SinB's is talent/gift (Her coordination is so graceful). Yuju's is mostly from hard work/perseverance. Look how close their gap is now. SinB better up her game or at least maintain it.😄 And don't forget Yuju's vocals (which is far from the rest) that is still continuously noticeably improving. They should all be inspired and go with Yuju's improvements.

3- Sowon/ Umji ( They are good dancers and I can't choose between them)

It is difficult to rank them 1 to 6 when they are each outstanding and the 6th best dancer In GFRIEND is still a better dancer than most others in KPop. That said, I agree generally with the rankings given. But I want to give a shout out to Umji. She is one of my favorite vocalists AND she is dependable and always right on with her dancing. She is just a solid and outstanding performer. I find myself watching SinB constantly but then suddenly I’ll notice Umji and realize that she is just killing it in her own quiet way.

To the ones who said umji she is bad dancer yerin is better than her ok : back then in 2015 umji wasn't a trainee for along time i think just for a year and the others were like 3 or 6 years so she still improving herself till khow 2020 so yerin was a lead dancer in 2015 till 2017 but khow i can say yuju or umji desrve this position . ( umji trained for one year and the others trained more than 3 years so she is very good )

Now, you’ve changed. Since netizen critized you about your crying-face and your appendicities surgery, you didn’t energetic anymore. After era by era, you are being hidden by the other members and you are lack of confidence, rarely updating on Weverse, being a hidden dancer in GFRIEND, looks very sad and different. In vocal, you didnt get any promotion, in variety show, you didn’t much appear anymore, in dance, seems you getting weaker and weaker.
