So gorgeous two great giants of the past whose styles could match so magnificently .... they both adored each other's playing and, of course, the sublime Mozart Duo. ... beautifully choreographed photos very rare and so special Eric Shumsky

Beautiful playing by Maestro Shumsky and Primrose! They matched each other’s styles so naturally.

I am re- reading at the moment Henry Roth's book 'violin virtuosos'. I feel that Roth underestimates the greatness of Shumsky's violin playing. I hear an ideal vibrato and glorious violin sound. Actually, I have to admit, listening to this recording doesn't give me less pleasure than listening to the commercial recording with Heifetz!

Two great musicians play Mozart with constant vibrato which today is unbearable. Both Mozarts, father and son detested this habit.

A skill almost forgotten today! And a habit that is even harder one could adopt.
