I was thinking about starting a project tracking planner for a project I’m working on, but I didn’t know if it would be a good idea. So I tried it out on a Hobonichi weeks I stopped using mid-year because of a change of lifestyle. It works out great except for maybe a lack of space to write. I love to have a little summary of each day’s progress. It helps me anchor myself in the progress bar, know the next problem to solve and record how I’ve been working. Got a Midori one day a page diary for 2025 project tracking.
I’m going to do tip #1 with most of my 2024 Hobonichi Cousin, cut off the quote and date, and turn it into a notepad. They make glue that you can glue the top together. They also make glue that will turn any paper into a “post it.” I figure by cutting it, it will go from A5 to B6 or A6, and I can send it as individual sheets through the printer, put it into a binder, etc. There are videos that show you how to get the paper out with the sewn binding that saves more of the paper. It’s not that hard.
I found tip #1 great. I use only one planner, but tried to add a second for my purse. It does not work because I do not keep the second planner up to date. I had bought Hobonichi Weeks for this purpose. I grab it for memos when I am on the run. I will turn it into memos pads when the year is over. It is great paper, so why waste it. Thank you!
