Gannon continued: "....but then when I try to look up at the sky, I can't see Jack, as my head pokes into a cloud, Uli was right last week, I grew to big."
@Tate Winters after you watch the video, you'll see when Jerm calls out Aubrey. If you already watched it and don't know, I'll paraphrase Carlin "just think about how dumb the average person is. Then remember, by definition, half the population is dumber than that...".
So Gannon....is playing WAY older than he is and that's a testament to his knowledge and desire to learn. He only had to hone down his putting and it appears that his dedication is paying off in MAX results. The last few years there have been a few youngsters that jumped into the winner's circle and they have remained in the top 20-ish...but Gannon's build and approach to the game could have him and guys like Kyle Klein becoming the next Ricky/McBeast rulers of the game (yet never count those two out of ANY tourney!!). Calvin is going to be in the top 5 every time he steps on a course because, like Gannon, he elevated his focus on the putting (THE answer to maintaining success). Super kewl to watch the Young Guns walk their Pro walk with a Pro mind! Another EPIC JoMez Production!
Like what Big Jerm said about putting things into perspective. Us fans and especially kids love supporting y'all even after bad throws and bad rounds. ❤
Big jerm needs a caddy. In fact all the guest players and host need caddy’s. Also the intro with uli was on point, he shows the discs and throws the disc. A short 2-4 second show and tell throw is actually interesting and promo.
Man what a hilarious video. Today marks my disc golf anniversary and after seeing many other people play, and this video as a reminder, I see there's many different ways to throw the disc and the best one is the one that works for you! But I also take a lot of tips from Gannon (e.g. jump putting).

Jerm, I felt absolutely terrible for you during that round just imagining what you must have been going through. Kudos to you though, you held your composure like the pro you are, and will inspire many to act the same whether it's a touring pro, or just a casual disc golfer like myself.
Comment for Jeremy: I’d like you to consider a champ TL3 for this course. They don’t dump hard but in champ they stay stable straight, the glide gives crazy distance.
This is such a good practice round. Gannon is such a cool dude for a 17 yo. When I was 17 I would've been so awkward and not able to keep up with the the jokes and banter.
holy crap Gannon is taller than Jerm now?? Wonder what his wingspan is? I'm so jealous of the life he gets to live hahaha. He's definitely got at least 15 years of being a total stud pro disc golfer ahead of him barring inury. Actually I'm jealous of anyone who learned disc golf exists as teens (just found out about it last year... at 39 years old 😭)
I started when I was 28, now I'm 45 and I'm still improving. I'm actually throwing farther now than I did when I was younger, and putt much better. Point being- you can keep getting better even as you age!
I know completely what you've saying and also wish I'd have started younger... but Just play as much as you can ideally with people way better than you and have fun. You have plenty of time to develop your game to a level which is more rewarding and fun. Learning the skills and then to trust and confidentiality hit your lines more times than not and improving in consistency I threw a lot of frisbee as a teen but didn't play golf until 1993 at 37 yrs old. 17:48 - 18:15 Big Jerm explaining the what it feels like to be an adult. No one cares about your problems because to other people they just don't matter.
I can’t lie. I Don’t get as excited to watch jomez on tournament weekends. Have to wait much longer. Used to get up get a cup of coffee and throw it on
Why is no one talking about Jerms comments to Gannon. 11:35 Jerm had an awful tournament and is bitter that Gannon won. Jules try's to tell him to chill and he out loud says he's annoyed with Gannon. He quite literally yelled at Gannon putting in hole 1 and "big timing" him. Gannon's clearly very uncomfortable and Jerm is being TOXIC. that is all, no more treating a child like that you are the adult.
Fun fact: Jerm joined the PDGA in 2007, before Buhr had turned 2. Jerm's career winnings, since his first payout in 2008 (15 years ago) is less than double of Buhr's since his first payout in 2020 (3 years ago).
I have never used the bendy discs but I want to try the Discraft ESP FLX line. I really think wooded courses are needing disc that don't kick far. Anyone have experience?
‘You don’t putt hard enough.” GB This is the thought of a golfer that grew up with inner chains. He’s right. Most of us old head’s don’t putt hard at all. We learned touch putting on single chained shallow treys but golf baskets have changed. Center center to center low catches most days even when coming in hot. JP, have you considered having an event on the old baskets to showcase how basket technologies have evolved? Appreciate your great work.

Aubrey, you are the MVP! It was so hard seeing Jerm struggle because his attitude is what makes him my favorite disc golfer to watch.
