BF4 is so shit I can't even. I finally decided to truly give it a try and the mechanics, design choices and restrictions are ass. Sticking with BF3 I could understand if people didn't get false banned by Punkbuster (or have found ways around it), but even if you don't like the shift to specialists they're somewhat pushing in BF2042 (with more on the way obviously in DLC or w/e) Everything else the game offers is atleast comparably better than BF4 simply due to the fact that it all plays better and is more dynamic than BF4. The "dynamic" stuff of BF4 for example was really nothing more than vehicle abuse. Vehicles got the biggest buff in that game, especially once the tiers were fully unlocked to the point that as realistic as it would be for aircraft or tanks to decimate a battlefield IRL, the game didn't even really try to scale them back, didn't try to create a scenario where it would be balanced (so you don't have ridiculous access to OP assets at all times), and even went so far as to "nerf" engineer and support and soldiers all around. Why? Why are slopes so hard to climb? (Why is repairing vehicles even harder?) Why all the gun class and part restrictions? What's up with grenade tossing? Why are certain gun classes so heavily nerfed for the sake of assault rifles and machine guns? You want to stick with this due to downright pessimism or your own opinion. Alright have fun lol. Don't get me wrong, BF2042 may do ALL of this again and even worse but the DIFFERENCE is that THIS game is getting support so we can tell them "NO, YOU MUST FIX THIS. NOW."
