I fell in love with Castagno XI and was smelling it the entire visit to Bloomingdale's. It was the first fragrance I sampled of course I bypassed it to see what else was available and had to come back to it and purchase it. So amazing and its a beast. I mix it with XX John Varvatos. I love masculine scents lol
I still have some left in my bottle of Ostara and was upset when it was discontinued. I agree that it was one of the very best scents ever. But I do think Penhaligon does a lot of discontinuing quickly. They did the same thing with Amaranthine. It was gone soon after it launched.
i have Castagno which is compulsory in my collection plus some others. Classy woody incensey smell. Need to complete the Paladiano range, Very high quality perfumes.
You're scaring me! BV Eua De Parfum is my favorite scent of all times. I haven't been able to find the 100ml refill in years. I pray this isn't on the chopping block. If you have tried it please do, it's very unisex. FYI , Hindu Kush is wonderful. I'm kicking myself for getting the small bottle. Thank you for the recommendation.

Mr. Sebastian. My signature scents are. Grand Sior and Tobacco Vanille year round. I am 72 and do get away with it by adjusting my sprays. Can you suggest several others that I could buy that would compliment my signature scents.

I love the Pear in this .. smells like if you bring a ripe pear up to your nose .. and lots of woods too.. fresh which is nice for warm weather ! I spent 175 in the BV Violetta, and it lasts only 3 hours. While Guerlain’s Insolence costs me 100 and it lasts 8+ hours and on clothes it lasts for days.

Sebastian, I stopped by Saks today and Bottega Veneta's fragrances have disappeared! The Saks sales lady who was in the area where they used to be (right at the top of the escalators) said that the license between Bottega Veneta and Coty has elapsed and so they are no longer distributing the brand. I asked so what happens now and she shrugged. Either some other distributor will jump in or they will simply leave the market. But they were all gone from Saks.

PP was the brainchild of Tomas Maier, also discontinued (sadly). I have 13/15, missing magnolia and rosa. Favorites are cipresso, quadrifoglio, violetta, and lilla. Last two are transparent olefactory watercolors but not really wearable. Olivo is very interesting as an experiment but not wearable - odd like the smell of an old college library.

I have heard you speak about the olive a lot but I couldn't test these anywhere and I wasn't about to find samples as no one had them. What a bummer.
