In Cu Alter's Interlude, He is shown fighting and beating Karna + Medb easily. Afterwards, he was poisoned by Semiramis. Then, he fought SAlter + Herc at the same time while poisoned and managed to take out some of Herc's lives. He won the fight afterwards with the help of Ritsuka. But then again he did almost died to a weakened Vasavi Shakti. I'd say It pretty much depends on the situation though, as Karna lost in a CQC fight.

If elizabeth didn't give her speech about never giving up then everyone would have died before arjuna arrive and the demon pillars would have rushed to ritsuka's location making the fight basically impossible to win.
