- I really liked this episode a lot! Subaru still being his stubborn self and trying to force his way into gaining new allies from opposing royal selection camps... He didn't think things through and he ended up getting outsmarted by Crusch, Priscilla and Anastasia. I do believe that this is going to be a very valuable lesson for him because everyone pointed out something different so next time I expect my boy Subaru to come prepared and get some W's! :D

I find that Anastasia, despite tricking Subaru. She helped him the most in this episode.
She explained him how to negociate with someone and even gave him a paper for a carriage.
Re zero is all theories, keep doing! That's one of the funniest part of this series. Doesn't matter if is wrong, lol. I 'm 8 arcs in and still don't know many things, lets theorise.

Reinhardt, felt and old man rom left captial and there go to HOUSE ASTREA
From captial to house ASTREA it may take two days to travel
That's why Subaru not ask Reinhard help

That is not really Subaru's style, he is the type to run straigth into traps, die and then use the knowledge of them to his benefit in the next loop.. XD
At least at the moment while he doesn't really have the space or time to calm down~
Now u might understand why i said that his pride is simply a veil to hide his weak self. Any truly prideful person would never throw it away that easily. Anyway not much to say, just excited for ur future reactions.

Its interesting how strange yet acceptable Priscilla's ideology is. I mean, she really gave him opportunity exactly as she said. But the right decision to get her help was declining to kiss her leg. Subaru just came to her mansion and started begging for help instead of doing something by himself. By kissing leg he was ready to throw away his pride simply to get help. And not only his pride, but also the pride of all Emilia's camp. Sacrificing something irreplaceable and something that don't belong only to you, instead of doing something without sacrificing is truly greedy. As she said, its not an act of loyalty or devotion, its only a pig's greed. This woman is truly a pure gigachad.

Anastasia being the only one to materially help him also tracks with her camp being the one most in support of demihumans.
One thing that could be good to know is that Re:Zero has major cuts when it comes to stuff like negotiations, strategy discussions or the royal selection earlier in favor for personal drama or action. While I believe that this episode was quite well adapted, it is true in general.
There is a episode later on where they jumps past most of the negotiation and what led up to it, and you basically just see the outcome, so if you'll ask yourself "Where did this come from? Did Sibaru just make that up?" then there is answers - in the light novels~
The same is true for the royal selection meeting at the castle, in the anime each camp presented in a line or two, something like:
E: I want things to be equal.
P: I am the most fit, so you need just grovel before me!
A: I'm greedy so I want my own country
C: I want to reject the covenant with the dragon, we should rule our own kingdom ourselves.
F: I want to destroy you all, and then I'll build things up again my way!
In the light novels, these lines were pages and pages of like a Q/A for each camp, they described in detail what they would do, like how the kingdom was falling apart and Ana would startup the economy again.
We also missed Ros/Puck's ploy: Reveal Puck (known as the Beast of the End) and just hint "Frankly you are still alive because Emilia is holding me back, but push the discrimination too far and I might just get a bit angry and freeze the capital solid..."

1) when rem and Subaru enter Priscilla mansion.
Rem seems to be sniffing something, staring at the back of Al’s helmet, then once Subaru is led alone to Priscilla, Rem remarks that he should be especially wary of Al.
2)After Subaru is knocked out and brought outside by Al, there is a short exchange where Al calls Rem by Ram’s name, Rem clarifies that Ram is her sister, Al asks if her sister is still alive, to which Rem answers yes, and Al suddenly projects a ghastly aura, which shock Rem and Subaru both. Calmly down immediately afterwards, he tells them to leave as soon as possible as he is not in a good mood, and after they leave, Al remarks “You gotta be joking me. So that’s what it was… Makes me wanna puke.”.
So for unknown reasons it seems like there is small connection btw al and Ram

I believe the ED is about Emilia's normal day, now that she returned from the capital and is all alone at the mansion (perhaps with Ram, Beatrice and Puck).
The negotiations were short... if only. I hope your opinion of other candidates improves, for now they are in the antagonist role to Emilia camp, but they said some interesting lines, a lot of character lines in this series are quite quotable. As for Subaru, offering Emilia's own candidacy all on his lonesome was quite detestable.
Now we have Subaru returning to the mansion first alone, second with Rem's corpse and third with merchant caravan ready to rescue everyone, I wonder how you imagine him returning in the final loop.
I'm also glad how aware you are of everyone's perspective of Subaru, to everyone he is that weird Emilia manservant who made fool of himself 2 days ago or so, makes all the future loops that much better when you get to them.
Is it detestable? I feel like that is a strong word. Without his and Rems intervention everyone over there is dead as it stands. They all already died twice, he saw the results.
But yeah the way everyone, even the audience at this point sees Subaru is always interesting. Because we all lack crutial informations about him at this point. His flaws were unfortunately for him on display for everyone. For most characters that is basically all they saw from him
@@inn1003 English isn't my first language, couldn't find the right word in the dictionary. I meant something like a mix of disrespectful and selfish. Though of course, major part of his emotions in that scene is desperation.

Speaking of va's not to diminish the jp voice actors work but don't disregard the English ones are just as good check out some individual moments like the end of episode 13 and 7 or just 15 or any emotional heavy episode also its cool to hear your theories and over thoughts re zero is a fun story to discuss and think about
