Inspired by the idea of seeing the famous Japanese seasonal blossom bloom for the first time, there is a definite ‘Samurai Champloo’ era Nujabes feel to the first half of the track.
The two producers combine deep, resonant sub-bass with fragmented beats, manipulated vocal samples, guitar layering, and vibrant percussive sounds. The result is an evocative and modern piece that keeps surprising throughout its progressive arrangement.
