JUst one thing to add with the Low Light settings mentioned in the video. If you are finding your footage is coming up too dark, change the ISO from 100-800 to 100-1600. THanks everyone!

I bought one in the beginning of 2023 to replace my GoPro. Before that I used a GoPro Hero 3 🤣 (not too much anymore though). Needless to say that I was impressed with the Action 3. Much better LCD (which was a separate accessory in the GoPro), much better touch screen on the LCD and the 4k video blew my mind. Crisp sharp images (22/09 production date) and the rocksteady and + modes are mind blowing. The only problem I have is that the camera is so fun and easy to use that I wanted a second one. So I just bought another one and no, not a 4 but again a 3. The difference between the 3 and 4 is not that large (at least for me) to rectify the higher price.
1 more question. I'm planning on shooting 4k 30p until the battery runs out with the action 3. Fishing videos, set it and forget it. My Gopro 7 overheats shooting 4k 30p after about 30 minutes when its sunny, and it will only record on a cool day for 50-60 minutes before the battery dies. wondering what real world battery life I should expect from the action 3 in 4k 30p if I let it run until the battery dies? Any feedback is much appreciated. Thank you!

People have said that newer batches of action 3 cams are better, less prone for the dreaded out of focus issue. Do you know if that is true? if so what manufactured date is the way to go? Thanks
All 3 of mine have been date 11/22. I would think that DJi have now got a handle on the issue and anything with a manufacturing date of 2023 should be fine.
Am I right in thinking that if you'd bought this camera from Argos or Curry's for instance, would you not not just have been able to return and swap it for a replacement over the counter? Im loving your content by the way and learning loads of tips for settings etc. Thanks for taking the time to make them.

But with 400%, I'm quite close to what you get, although it is not the same box (mine is the adventure pack one), and perhaps this is the reason of the difference. But my results are close. After more tests, I think the focus is good : I did tests at 40, 50, 60 cm and 1 meter with low differences between each zoom 400% (and this time outside, by a sunny day).

Set to HDR and loose the bluriness of the 180 rule or but in manual mode 24 and 1/50 with a ND filter and switch off the rock steady? I tried out both and prefer actually the HDR. Or do you have an other suggestion to try out?

I have one issue though which I hope you can help me with. I tested the recording and was recording for over 10 minutes and when I got home and downloaded the footage it had separated the recording into two separate recordings. I know I can stitch these together in the edit but I was wondering if there is a way to stop this? I might be recording something and be at a pivotal point and the separation might come when saying something important? Just hopes I could avoid this? Really appreciate any help you can offer?
Unfortunately not, it is a kind of safety feature built in to stop you losing all the footage if one of the files becomes corrupt. DO you have the DJi Mobile phone app? does this auto stitch them back together?
@@TheCameraManReviews I've not yet checked that on the app? Normally I downloaded everything from the sim card straight to laptop as my phone doesn't have a large data storage.

There will be a "softness" to the image. The best way to describe it is, raise your hand up to your eye level and get the palm of your hand in focus. Move your hand backwards so you can see all the lines clearly on your palm . Now move your hand closer to your eyes until its hard to focus on the lines in the palm. That's the softness (out of focus) your looking for from the camera.
Maybe that’s why it’s called Action 3: it has to returned 3 times 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪 I received mine a week ago (manufacture date is 12/2022). Hoping it will be OK.

Yes that is true, you could return to store. Dji service request is a 2 week wait 😞

How does it look if the cam is out of focus? You are not able to read 'OSMO ACTION 3' for example? 2:42
