Staycation Near Manila
Balai Alegria is one of the few beautiful staycation places that is very near Manila. It's roughly a 30 minute drive once you reach NLEX. Thus, if you are coming from Quezon City or neighboring cities, you can easily go to Balai Alegria in just an hour drive.
Modern Bahay Kubo
Jen and I were really impressed by our accommodation at Balai Alegria. We stayed in an ultra-modern Bahay kubo! It comes with a Smart TV, a virtual assistant - Alexa eco show and a smart toilet!
The kubo has a modern tropical interior. It comes with memory foam beds too!

The best so far I’ve seen na staycation. Kind of obsessed to live in a Modern Bahai Kubo and this is exactly what I would want to. At yung place, very lush, serene and luxurious with all the plants and upscaling done.

I like the vibe it has with the greenery. But I would not be willing go pay the 15k weekday and 19k weekend rate. Bali is even cheaper.

The pricing is a bit high, compare to Bali, you can rent a 2 storey 5 bedroom, huge living room, a big pool in a cliff overlooking villa at Villa Bali Blue at 10k pesos and 5 minutes away to balangan beach
Stayed there March 4, 2024 to celebrate a birthday. Really not worth it for the price. Yes the staff are nice and the place is beautiful in a way, and there cute dogs. However the owner's attitude leaves much to be desired, she is by the way the one interviewed at 17:44. We stayed there with a vlogger, we were not treated well by the owner. The vlogger was treated like royalty and while we were treated like we were not clients. The food we reserved and ordered in advance was not prepared when we arrived. It was only being ordered when we arrived and we found out that the others were already unavailable so we had to chabge and adjust our order. We aren't allowed to use or make use of the lounge area and the pool by the very owner herself. We weren't even given space or an area on where we can eat set-up the table and have nice relaxing dinner. There was no effort in her part to ask for any forgiveness for any inconveniece she made us experience. The best experience we got is being treated like air or that we don't exist by her. Passing the blame on the staff. Her reasoning being they were shooting and have to finish it. We only get to use the lounge area aftey they were done and the pool the next day for an hour before checking out. Overall, we did not get to experience the rest and relaxation we wanted and payed for.
