Mine just turns yellow when I do this. I don’t understand where I am going wrong. I’m using the askar color magic filters. Hydrogen alpha and O3 on the first, and S2/O3 on the second.

A great tutorial! But what is the sence of the Ha luminosity layer? Is it just to bring the stars back?

    Hi Peter,
I very appreciate your Video. It helped me a lot!
But I wonder how to set up the Colors when Imaging with Ha and OIII only?
I have done like this for the Veil nebula, as SII is nearly not present there.
    Thanks.

Hi - thanks for commenting. For Veil Nebula I map Ha to red and OIII to both blue and green channels. Copy of my photo of Veil on my website www.pjastro.co.uk if you'd like a look . Hope this helps 😀

@@peterjenkins6119 Thank you. I dont understand how (when) the channels were registered. Someone told me you cannot register starless channels. But to register different channels (Ha, OIII and SII) means to combine all channels to one RGB, isn´t it? But you have single starless channels here. I am confused how to do that they "fit" all together in PS..

@@kowalskik.1333 Hi - All subs (raw images) are calibrated first then reqistered (Aligned). The files are then stacked into 3 masters (Ha, OIII & SII) which are then stretched. Only then are the stars removed (Each master has already been registered) The 3 images were saved as TIFF files and combined as layers in PS as shown in the video - Stars were added back after this was completed.

For those of use using OSC cameras, is it possible to convert to the Hubble palette?

@@peterjenkins6119 Yes you can with some filters as L-Enhance and L-Extreme and a free program as Siril can be extracted Ha and OIII (by a script its come along when you download the program) then combined those channels in a way to reach a SHO version.
