Thank you all for the kind words. Honestly, I'm just a father who wanted to do the best for his child and when we got involved with e-Nable, it became more than that. Knowing you have the resources available to put a smile on the face of a limb different kid, who's probably been stared at uncomfortably for their difference, is a great feeling. My thanks to Ultimaker and e-Nable for making those resources available and allowing us to share our story.

Hey Gregg. I'm just going through all videos I can find in youtube and it seems they are all at least 4 years old. I wonder if you are still printing these prosthetics and if there are any new models. I live in Bulgaria and it seems there are no E-nable volunteers around. But there are such kids, so I'm willing to use one of my 3d printers just for that. It would be great if you can contact me in FB - Viktor Solenoid, so you can give me some advice. Thanks in advance!

I'm from Brazil, I'm a Mechanical Engineering student (also studying the prosthetics area) and I watched this video with tears in the eyes.
      You're the best dad ever!
Keep on going and say hello to little Luke. He's a winner!

I just want to thank all you guys at Ultimaker again for letting me be part of this amazing video. This weekend we aired it on my local news station, it literally brought one of the news women to tears. So fantastic.

a powerful 4 minute massage on helping others and see huge results. I always say use every tool in life to help others wether money, car, real estate, airplane, yes even a 3d printer it's not all about money. You have an idea make sure it's to improve society, and yes make some money but with a good cause.

Anyone hearing "3D printing? Isn't that just for making useless crap?" should point that person this way. It's revolutionising prosthetics and not just with hands. Recently saw a presentation where the usual 5 day process of getting a leg for victims of landmines was cut down to 2 days with the use of a Kinect and a 3D printer (plus Meshmixer) - since a lot of the people coming in for the legs were subsistence farmers, 5 days in a city to get the leg could cost them their homes while they can just manage 2 days away from the farm. No more plaster casts drying for days, just scan, tweak for comfort and strength, print.

Hello Greg, my name is Colin and Live in Australia. I have joined e-nable but can not find anyone here in Australia with experience in sizing and advising on the best design to print.
There is a person in need of a hand similar to what you have manufactured who lives 13kms from me. From your experience which design is a starting point. I have asked for the person to send pictures of his hand next to a rule.Lokk forward to your reply. Colin

Good team effort. Clearly, it is wrong to say that the father 'made' the hand any more than one has 'authored' a video downloaded and played to a child on an iPad.
