Can you move only 1 Matchstick to fix the equation? This brain teaser is for those who enjoy solving analytical puzzles and games. Brain teasers are mainly a trickier version of riddles and puzzles, as these brain games are solved with lateral thinking. While solving these, you need to analyze a little differently and out of the box. For coming on to the solution, you need to use a creative mind as the answer won’t be right in front of you. So, we have come up with an interesting brain-teaser where you have to move only 1 Matchstick to correct the equation in the image.

The last example was a bit specious. It not only moved one stick, but it also shifted the position of the number '1' (consisting of two sticks) to join the number originally at the right of the '+' sign

Last 1 not correct..u are moving 2 sticks not 1..should be 1-3 = 1-3..which is more correct
Hey they just move the 1 to the right to make it clearer although not necessary since there are no Operators between the 1 and the 9. And if you want to complsin, they moved there sticks.

Another solution in 1 - 9 = 13:
Move the subtraction symbol and make 3 on the right side as 9. Then, we have: 19 = 19.
That's how the video shows it at the 8:17 mark (19=19). So what are you saying?

The last one is tricky.
At the 8:17 mark, the equation "1-9=13" to get "19=19" is VISUALLY moving 3 matchsticks in the video. I think it would be more HONEST to do "1_9=19" since it is explained as an equation.

Also, 1-9=13 can be done as 19=19 as shown in the video. Nice having two answers... but both leave or need more or less spacing to look legit.

Seems like clickbait. The final solution, which is advertised as "move one stick..." actually has you moving 3 sticks,
1 - 9 = 13 does not become 19 = 19 by moving 1 stick.
Pretty lame.
I moved 1 to show. No need to shift, actually 19=19 again.

Logically speaking, the last puzzle is impossible unless you MOVE 3 sticks... 1 - 9 = 13 ... answer ... 1 9 = 19... sorry, NO such EQUATION...

A better answer would be to move one of the two sticks making the = sign and place it such that the = changes to < sign.

By removing the sign minus, it will become 19.
Then by fitting it to 13 upper left, it also becomes 19.

Replacing one stick ( meant for minus sign) in LHS to make 3 (of 13) just 9
means 19 in LHS = 19 in RHS
