Rhodium plating will definitely brighten up the white gold and add some flash. I would suggest getting it re-plated every 5 years, as bracelets do get a lot of wear and tear. Just a gold lover who was a jeweler back in the ‘70s -‘80s. 😊
It depends more on the degree of wear and tear. If the wear and tear affects the shine and is not so brilliant, it should be re-measured.
You’re the reason I started my VCA collection, I went in and the SA said these are traditionally worn by women I said ok I’ll take the gold Rive Gouche Necklace and bracelet he said you don’t care it for women I said no sir it’s jewelry it’s for whomever wants it😀 needless to say he and I have quite the relationship now and it all started because of you.

My late hubby gave me my Cartier rolling ring over 35 yrs ago & I’ve never taken it off. I love that they’re 18kt rose, white and yellow gold.

Jewelry is one of my favorite things, especially when it means something! I wish people weren’t thieves so we could see your entire collection! I love a variety of colors and stones, but I prefer timeless styles to trendy. Thankfully I can wear almost anything. My favorites are Tiffany’s and Kendra Scott. My husband just bought me the gold 5 motif guilloché as my “push present” but it’s going to take 4 months to get here. I can’t believe how backed up it is! The single motif necklace is up to a year wait!

I was wondering about your green VCA! So pretttyy! Love me some beautiful rocks, and the intricate work with jewelry. I thought about being a gemologist several years ago, but decided not for some reason. xo.
That’s exactly how I am. I love jewelry but I only love quality nice jewelry! If it’s from a fashion store or whatnot nah.. I like my few expensive staple pieces that I wear 24/7!! My jewelry that I have gotten in the past that are from fashion stores and places like that I seriously never ever wear so in the end it’s just a waste of money so why not hold onto that money & get a quality piece you’ll never want to take off! Totally looking into that necklace now too, I’ve been on the hunt for a necklace that length that I can incorporate both of my kids initials & future kids initials also🙌🏼
You could get the white gold cartier plated with a yellow or rose gold to change the look while still keeping the bracelet for sentimental reasons. It probably would require annual or biannual maintenance because of the malleability of gold.
You mentioned that you had a locket necklace, can you link it or say where it is from? I love lockets! I absolutely adore jewelry as well. My favorite aspect of jewelry is the stories that it tells. I love to receive/buy jewelry for special occasions and be reminded of that occasion every time you wear it!

Let us know how the VCA Malachite wears. Very curious since it's known to be a bit more delicate. I'm a bit skeptical of reviews by people who are very precious with their jewelry because I am most certainly not.

The VCA guilloché style is incredibly beautiful. Ever since you showed your necklace, both the bracelet and the necklace are firm on my wishlist. I just haven’t been able to justify buying either. I feel like jewelry purchases, more so than luxury handbags, need to have a special milestone attached to them. A birthday somehow doesn’t feel special enough🙈

Can you do a review on your Van Cleef jewelry? I have the 5 motif MOP bracelet and am trying to decide on the next piece. In particular would like to know about the wear and tear on the malachite and guilloche. I love the malachite but am afraid of the stones changing.

Since you like jewelry particularly gold, the best place to shop is in Dubai or India. That part of the world love, I mean love x 100,000 times gold jewelries. You can find some of the most unique or finest design. Duabi has a gold jewelry festival once a year. Hope you get to check it out one day
In April 2020 my husband got me a 20” 18k gold chain which is comprised of marquise cut semi precious gemstones which replaced the original one my mom gave me for my 30th birthday that I lost. It took over a decade to find it because the store the original one was purchased in went out of business long ago and one night I was on eBay and found it! I messaged the seller with a ton of questions and for more pictures and turns out he is a wholesaler in NYC who started an eBay store during lockdown. He had over 1000 positive reviews no negatives and I trusted him. After I lost my husband I had a cremains heart made which I had to take to my jeweler to have some gold soldered over the fill portion which he did while I waited and he let me watch. I wear it on this chain and never take it off except for the 2 surgeries and CT scans I have had since then. I also have a Diamond stud and Sleeping Beauty turquoise set in rose gold in my 2nd and 3rd piercings on my left ear I never take off.
That sounds amazing and so much sentimentality to it xx

Hi Kristina, just to let you know. That’s normal if you find the Cartier love bracelet in silver a little grey. It’s because it’s not a proper white gold but a grey gold in fact. In fact they are named “ or gris” and not “ or blanc” as it supposed to be for a true white gold 😊
