Cole/Jay-Z - "Mr. Nice Watch" & T.I./Ludacris/B.o.B - "On Top Of The World" ...the Bronx is the borough of #love, everybody...all the hate you hear of over here is a f'd up facade, I promise y'all...but anyways, this is the Bx5, one of the many articulated local bus routes running in this borough...very few of 'em over here run on the LTD & SBS routes, but we're not gonna discuss 'em here...as far as what the Bx5 does: All southern service originates on Southern Blvd & Westchester Avenue, or if we're talking Subway destinations the Simpson Street (2) & (5) station, the same place where the Bx4A & Bx27 terminates...the Bx19 stops here 24/7, same goes for the Bx35...Bx4 service is provided here as well...the Bx6 & Bx6 SBS stops within the same area, but not at the station I'm talking about here...and now we take the Bx5 along Story Avenue & Bruckner Blvd...local stops are made by request, remember that...and since this is a Monday we're talking about here, the northern terminus is the Pelham Bay Park (6) Train subway station...if this were a Saturday and/or Sunday, service is extended along the Bx12 & Bx12 SBS' current routing to the Mall at Bay Plaza...it goes in the same way the Bx12 local or SBS does & out it goes the same way the Bx12 SBS or local does going back to Pelham Bay...almost...LOL! The Bx5 is more straightforward as opposed to both variants of the Bx12, though...Bx5 returns to the same stop it starts at if it were cut back to Pelham Bay on a regular weekday while the Bx12s head in front of the CVS Pharmacy...make sure you take the right bus you want or need, certain ppl. make the mistake of going towards Fordham, University Heights & Inwood if they wanted the Mall of Bay Plaza...it's better to stick to the local route just to avoid that mistake & BTW, this is one of the earlier LFSAs running here...judging from the design on the seats, this bus once ran on the M15 SBS back when it made its grand debut in 2010...the 126th Street Depot [now closed due to an interesting discovery on the site of the depot] once housed this bus & then it went around various depots in Manhattan & the BX until it finally settled on the Gun Hill Depot [where the Bx12 SBS & Bx23 Co-Op City Loop stops most of the time if requested, Bx12 local sometimes, Q50 LTD rush hours only & Bx5 weekends only...Bx26, Bx28 & Bx38 aren't too far from here either], the same home as bus #1200 (which once ran exclusively on the Bx12 SBS...it's now used for local service just in case anyone's asking) ...and that'll end this particular history lesson for the time being...peace out FRESH, everybody!
