I got a question! So i got verzion and I’m trynna to go to Straighttalk but I want to keep my verzion number. So if I switch can I still able to use the same number?
I just purchase a iPhone from them how long do I have to keep this service before I switch to another service, because the phone is lock!! Trying to get it unlocked.
Been using straight talk for years. Currently an OTR truck driver and used 86 gb of data last month streaming Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, etc. On $55 unlimited plan. No complaints
Bewbathis _ thanks for your review. Been paying way too much over at Verizon for years but loyalty to them hasn’t gotten me anything. Might switch over to Straight Talk in a couple months when I pay off my device.
Ted 1 second ago I was told my straight talk home phone base/router would have to be replaced Jan 2021. I bought a new one, but it's Feb and my old one still works. Was thinking about returning the new one, so I messaged straight talk to make sure I didn't need it. Odd that the customer service rep didn't know the answer to my question and had to check with somebody. She finally answered and told me my base would eventually quit and I might have already noticed dropped calls. No dropped calls, it's Feb and it still works fine. I'm thinking somebody isn't being completely honest. There is very little if any info online saying the home phone routers have to be replaced.
I love straight talk in 2024!! I paid for the 45 dollar SILVER monthly plan. IT COMES WITH UNLIMITED HIGH SPEED DATA AND 10GB hotspot data. no crazy high monthly bills in the mail. Straight talk is a beautiful thing
A year or two ago I would have recommended straight talk, but something changed not too long ago and the service has become the worst I've ever experienced in my area, not to mention the absolute hell you have to go through to port your number to a new carrier or even get your own account info from them, 0/10 never deal with straight talk especially if you live in rural areas
I got the beginning of the higher end straight talk phones at Walmart and the guy gave me the $45 card to go with it. It doesn't seem to want to get on the internet though. Isn't internet included with the $45 card?
Was going to get straight talk, but after reading reviews, that stopped me from ever dealing with them. I've also heard that even tho these companies say they used the big 4's towers, you don't get all the perks of the system. By the way, there is no such thing as unlimited any more. Once upon a time it was, but now it's 50 g at most then all carriers will slow you down or change you more for data.
Dude if you want excellent service you need to get a plan phone from one of the big three a service like this is for people who like talk text and some internet use.
DO NOT SWITCH TO STRAIGHT TALK!!!!! Worst service ever. What ever the speedtest ouwas wrong as i have done several benchmarks and speedtests of my owb using multiple apps, the bottom line is i never once saw anything that could even remotely resemble 4G LTE. On avarage 4GLTE runs at about 3G speeds.. and this is prior to being throttled, after that youre basically down to 1X speed wich is slower than dial up. Its not eorth wasting your money on this shit service.
It's likely you'd stay on att towers so your speeds probably wouldn't change. My ST speeds are very good where I live. Better than Verizon and Sprint. Obv it'll be subjective to where you live. It's worth it if you get the service. Half the cost for the same speed. I never have issues.
I got a tracphone stylo4. I can't get internet with a data card. Don't know why? My option is to go to Straight talk. My phone is on Verison carrier. How do I go about switching? Do I purchase a SIM kit or just go to website and sign on? Thanks for any info!
My son is ,well rather poor, financially. He has straight talk , yet also has sprint wireless service. Does he need both? i feel like he is paying 80 bucks a month for one of those he doesn't need , & i want to help him, thanks if you can answer ,thanks!!
It is now 35 a month with unlimited data. First 3 gigs are at 4G LTE then after that it's 2G. If that's not enough then there is 45 a month where you get the first 25 gigs at 4G LTE
Hans Mak That’s why I stayed on Verizon prepaid because of the Wi-Fi calling and because the data I already paid for on my plan can also be used as mobile hotspot data. Straight talk can’t offer that unless you pay extra for it unless it’s still forbidden under the Straight Talk TOS.
@@joshuahale4193 whenever your phone is connected to Wi-Fi, a phone call can be made using that Wi-Fi instead of your minutes. This feature is turned on by pressing an icon. On my S9+ the icon is the wifi symbol (partial rainbow) and the old phone receiver.
DONT do it "unlimited data" my ass. After using 2gbs of high-speed it shuts off completely, download speeds of 20kbps , it's definitely not worth the $35, check our Mint or Cricket instead!

You must live in Walmart. I get an average of 0.01mbps to 3mbps download speeds, and around 10mbps when it’s doing good... sadly, it’s usually not doing good 😫
The only problem I have with straight talk is I frequently travel outside of the country and the international plan doesn't always work. It depends on what countries.
I left straight talk because of their horrible customer service and I switched to TING mobile. International calling is actually included in their $45 plan.zj40blbap771.ting.com/
this is my biggest problem - you - okay I - cannot access simple things like receiving some normal calls or checking voicemail while overseas. I contacted support and said I'd happily pay extra for it, and they said it wasn't an option. Weirdly some texts come through, some don't.
Straight talk is a MVNO,meaning it does not possess their own network equipment. Instead it leases network signals from the major providers for resale. Depending the phone or SIM you buy it uses one of the four major providers. You can tell what device is using what network. LTE-A=AT&T, LTE-T = T-mobile ,LTE-S=Sprint,LTE-V=Verizon. This is indicated on the phone's packaging. Or if you bought a SIM card kit the SIM card would have numbers indication what SIM it is. SIMC4 AT&T,SIMT5 T-Mobile,Verizon is SIMV5. Sprint has its own SIM,because their SIM cards are unique. So yes,it is possible that the coverage in your area is poor based on the provider your phone uses. Check to make sure which network operator is best in your area. You can also request Straight Talk to request a new SIM from another carrier network for free. That way it might solve your reception issues.
Visible mobile service is the same as Verizon as they use their towers only. As long as your internet speed is not a issue for you, this is a great deal. Your speed is throttled to 5mbps download However you do have unlimited data/mobile Hot Spot with the $40 all in plan
