Hiya Faye! What fun! That kimono was a real one, sad you had to leave it (I’d wear it on the plane if I had to😂). I have one from the 60s (thrifted in the 70s😊) w/ heavy embroidery, just stunning. “Irregular Choice” is a fairly expensive brand, always crazy, quirky designs; I’m always drooling over their shop windows! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️🤘🦋🏍🦇🎃👻 (still the “season” nah nah!😊)
Yes the shoes i would do ribbon and a big fat bow in front of foot with matching brooches in center of bow.. or even some clip on big sassy earrings...omg what a fabulous idea for vintage patterns....
You could grab some leather thong cord from Spotti and thread it through a few times round the ankle and tie in a bow for your kitten heels. Nice little vicarious op shop - got my hit without spending money! My fave oppi was Preston Helping Hands up until recently but theyve lost their mojo a bit so I'm gonna check out the Southern Cross Salvos and North Melb - havnt tried those yet! Thanks for the heads up 👍
I'm in rural SA but my sister is in Melbourne. When I drive over she'll take me op shopping. She's never taken me to a bad op shop yet, between Bacchus Marsh and Ardeer.

I would buy a couple small buckles and make your own straps with a thin leather belt or some heavy duty ribbon. Hand sew buckles on or glue.
