For this subject, the wood is almost the perfect medium. Awesome job. I just found your channel; I have my Walnut Hollow wood burner on it's way to me. I, like yourself, am a pencil artist, and look forward to following yours and others tutorials to grow my artistic skillset.
Lovely work. His fur looks very realistic and the shading is really smooth and artistic. As always, it was a joy to watch your creative process unfold. Greetings from Switzerland 💚
Hi Aney, I enjoy watching teach and explain and it’s nice that you show what your source for your burn. Can you also POINT OUT what you’re looking at on both canvas and traced work?? I think it would help me train my eye to see what you see. Just a thought. Thanks.
I bought a machine off of Amazon it wasn't that expensive I don't know if it's the wires or the handpiece but I'm working around 80% on the turnip it'll be glowing soon as I touch it down it's almost like it goes cold any solution could it be the wires they supplied they don't have enough resistance
I use this sand eraser: amzn.to/3SfK7GX But I also use my customizer tool for carbon "erasing" now too: culiau.com/discount/ANEYCARVER?ref=wFzctGH3Ejo92U Use Coupon Code: ANEYCARVER - for 10% OFF
This was awesome!! The fur looks so so real! Do you find that it's easier to burn portrait than to pencil them? I know that's a weird question, but I couldn't EVER draw realistic portraits.. just wondering if you feel if there is a difference, maybe burning is a little bit more forgiving?
Thanks!! I wouldn’t say burning is easier, but I do enjoy it more, so it doesn’t seem like as much of a chore. Burning takes as long as drawing and I can’t erase anything, so there’s an added layer of pressure to get it right. But burning on a low heat makes it easier to avoid mistakes.

I can't get the carbon lines off the wood, what kind of 'sand eraser' do you have/use?
