Here's a few tips from up north. Lock the cows in their stalls. Cover your bunnies. Throw out handfuls of straw near the birdfeeders so they can line their nests. Put a small heater in the greenhouse to warm it to 55. Safe blessings.
Speaking of beauty, until they switched to her phone that day I did not realize how beautiful Wanda's eyes are. Wow. I love everything I am learning on here. Loved the peach tree planting. I plan to do alot of that come spring and the air-grafting to get more apple trees.
Yep me too. I was going to say the same thing. Negative temps here in East Central Indiana with negative teens and twenties wind-chill. My steers stand outside like silly animals. They have fresh straw to lay on inside their stall, plenty of hay and feed twice a day with a heated water tank. The cows will be fine.
I was born and raised in New York (city, not upstate) but I've lived in North Carolina now for about 8 years. I'm sensitive to the below freezing air temps more than I used to be. I give this advice : invest in good waterproof boots and keep your ears and fingers warm. The further from the heart the body part, the more at risk for damage from the cold. Thank you for this beautiful video Wanda and Danny.
LOL, in my younger years I was a mail carrier in snow country. Walking route, 400 houses. You don’t know cold until you traipse through a foot of snow all day. Then when you finally end your route, your feet are yellow from the cold, and the locks on your car are frozen. I moved to a warmer state after that.
3 or 4 heat lamps may help with that snow on the high tunnel Danny. All you need to do is get the roof warm enough so that the snow melts and flows off as water. Rules for driving on snow covered roads. 1) Slow down it's slippery. It's always slippery. 2) The real speed limit depends on road conditions. and is usually much slower that what is posted. 3) 4 wheel drive will help you move on slippery roads. 4) 4 wheel drive does not add to your ability to stop on slippery roads. 5) Don't be prompted to increase your speed because that 4 wheel drive just passed you like your standing still. Odds are pretty good that you will pass it later on; standing still in a ditch. 6) If you start slipping and sliding, reduce your accelerator and try to steer towards loose and non packed snow. It will give you traction to regain control. 7) If you're faced with driving up an icy hill, look at the sides of the road. If there is unpacked snow, drive to that side of the road for traction otherwise, it's best to find a different route. It's much to difficult to control a vehicle when it's sliding down an icy hill.
🕊 Across the pond they put a small wood burn stove in the greenhouse, you can try the clay pots with Crisco homemade ovens, I pray it works for you, otherwise maybe a Walipini design. Take care. 🙏🌱
I have to have about 3 inches thick of clothes to go outside in the cold, but (usually) has to warm up to snow. I am mesmerized by it, scince I was itty bitty. Now I'm old and cold and it still thrills me. That, and cutting open a log, and watching plants and animals and kids grow. I thank the Lord every day by reason of strength I am still kicking. Snow brings nitrogen. your plants will grow well next summer.
I'm in another location in the deep south, and have never seen weather like this here (I'm in zone 9b). I have woken up to 31 degrees every morning this week, and my garden is not happy. LOL. However, I am grateful that I spent the first 40 years of my life in a very snowy/cold part of the country bc it taught me how to prepare for this. Hubby and I experienced 3 lengthy power outages from ice storms in the early 80s, and slept in outdoor sleeping bags by the roaring fire in the family room. One of these events lasted 10 days with no power!! We did frequent an Irish pub nearby where we ordered Irish coffee, and stews. LOL. Hope you get warmer weather soon.
Folks take it from a farmer who was raised in the mountains of southeastern Tenn. Yall are prepared much better than most. I now farm with my husband in north Georgia and we still have frozen snow from the last we got. 5 degrees this morning at 6am. It dont matter how . much you prepare, your still going to get hit with problems. We are thankful that we missed this snow, but the continued cold is giving us issues too. Yall stay warm and know yall are much better prepared than most. God bless ,stay safe and i pray yall dont fall. FYI, sprinkle hay over icy spots and walkways yall use. Helps your traction. 💕🙏🏻
@pecangrovems your welcome we still have frozen snow that is now ice. Another tip, lose water at your hydrant, we used a sump pump and filled our washing machine with water yesterday and filled 5 gal buckets with gamma lids to tote water to livestock. Worked great! Wore me out, but our stock had water. First time ever that has ever happened. Have our main hydrant for filling well in sulated but didn't want to open and risk it getting frozen. Heat gun usually thaws but not this time too cold. Take care
Stay warm! We had no snow in Ohio, but -8° this morning. Warmed up to 16° today. We have snow, but none since Sunday night. You are doing a good job!!😊
Looks like you guys are doing fine. I had to smile when you said you guys aren't prepared for this weather. Made me think that we in VA are not prepared for the temperatures of 100+ degrees F in the summer. But, we all figure it out.
Here in Michigan it was 25 below this morning. Hurt my lungs trying to feed the animals. It was 45 below farther north in the state. School has been canceled for two days because it's too cold for kids to wait for the bus. Not everyone has a shelter built by the road for them to wait. Eve so, itsstill dangerously cold for them. Stay safe and just look at this as a learning experience. 😂 God bless .
I lived thru the blizzard of 1978 in Indiana. We got back then 26 inches of snow, 40+ mph winds, and windchills in the negative and whitout conditions. It was glorious. The snow drifts were awesome. I am still waiting patiently to live thru amothet one before i die.
I think that y'all be fine. I live in the Northern Ohio Valley and my greenhouse is a hoop house made from 3/4" PVC pipe and a plastic sheet it held the 8" of snow that we got with no problems. You guys need to just stay warm.
Well, I am in South Georgia at the Florida line. 8 inches of snow last night and 12 degrees tonight. Some folks have not had power in over 18 hours. People with children. You couldn’t get on the roads to go anywhere because we don’t have snow equipment. It will be 12 degrees tonight and one more cold day and then summer at the end of the week. ❤
I hope your peach trees you just planted aren't hit too hard. Did you save any of the branches to try and root them? Ms Wanda you need to fix some hot tea and curl up under an Afghan with a good book, or THE good book whichever you prefer. I need to go and put out more seed for my bird feeder.
That snow acts as an insulator for your hoop house. It's best to leave it in place. I'm in zone 6 and the temps are more regulated when it's insulated. Your tunnel is structured well to support it. Another piece of advice is to invest in some frost blankets from johnnys. I'm able to overwinter my greens and several herbs using Elliot Coleman's winter harvest concepts.
I live in the heart of Texas and I am prepared for anything Mother Nature throes at us. All people should be that way. Never ever take anything for granted. If you do, you pay.
I am in Milton, FL. We got 9.8 inches of snow and woke up to a temp of 15. Chickens are refusing to come out of the barn. Hang in there. Stay safe and warm.
Yep..SETX here and got the blizzard. So crazy. It is day three and there is still snow standing after the storm. Stay warm and let that sunshine in. Best thing was knocking that snow down on the tunnel so the sun could warm. Take care and stay safe. Keep those fingers covered. It stings!
You n Danny looks so cute in those clothes. Stay warm. I wonder what this year has in store for all of us. I love y'all! I enjoy Danny's porch talks. They're stout ones.
Y’all got more snow than we did. We live 7 miles north of Bassfield. They got about an inch or less. We saw it falling but no accumulation. Everyone south of Bassfield (and east) got 2-4 inches.
Over here about 2 hours west of Savannah, it snowed around 4" over night. It's bright and sunny today and it might stick since it's only getting to 34 today and it's supposed to drop to 18 tonight.
Good morning it’s unreal the amount of snow that you are getting. Up here in Canada less than a foot is referred to as a dusting. But I totally understand your concerns with your high tunnel! I will pray for you all and hope the home fires keep you warm while you experience this and that your high tunnel can withstand the load. Take care of each other. ❤️🥰🙏🏻🙏🏻🇨🇦🍁
3 degrees yesterday morning and -1 degree this morning. It is cold in SW Virginia! We have had snow since mid December. It is the inches of ice that I hate! So many broken bones this time of year.
on the high tunnel . . . if you had put a line or two of black fabric, black trash bags, something black . . . even a sheet . . . it would melt off when the sun comes out. I've seen people throw a rope all the way over from one side to the other, and two people take turns pulling it back and forth, just a little bit, to loosen the snow at the very top.
Just checked & right now the actual air temp is minus 2 with a wind chill of minus 20. That's cold even for me in Grand Rapids Michigan! Schools all closed for 3 days already because of the windchill. Roads are a mess! Monday on I-96 by Alpine Ave. (about 1 mile from me) there was a semitruck that jackknifed, a boxtruck flipped on its side & 13 cars that all slid off the road! We've got about 10 inches of snow & my little homemade HT is completely frozen but still intact from the weight. Thanking our good God for that!
Yay, Ms. Wanda, you finally have birds at your feeder! I hope it doesn't take another snow fall to keep them there. I know you and Mr. Danny are staying warm in the camp and the animals look fine even with snow. Stay safe and hopefully things will warm up quickly and melt the snow and ice off that high tunnel roof. I am shivering here in Georgia, 12 degrees when we got up this morning. The furnace is struggling to keep the house warm in the 60s. I usually like to enjoy the different seasons, but this time, I am ready for warmer weather.
Wow its crazy seeing snow in your area. You should be ok with your high tunnel plenty of people up here in Pa have them and seem to fair well. Now if it was Alaska... 😬 Maybe not so much
Birds eat from our 4 feeders the most when ground is snow covered. Took pictures of the red cardinals and blue jays. There are also the blackbirds and small birds of some sort. We look out our living room and watch them eat. Also watch the squirrel looking for food
My opinion there are two things you do with snow especially when you’re older. One make a mini snowman and stick somewhere just to celebrate the joy of snow. The other thing is staying by the fireplace with the blanket up to your neck😂. Of course I don’t have animals
I take my shade cloth off in the fall because of the snow here in Southern Ohio. I have a low tunnel and we have had up to 10" of snow with no problems with it.
I think you did get some ice. I can hear the trees cracklin' in the video. We got a dusting here in Illinois. Glad that the temps are coming up today here. With the animals not used to slippery conditions, they can slide and twist something. You all be careful too. That birdfeeders is so cool identifying the birds. I like the snow, but I like the rain better and would love to have my well replenished. Been in such a big dry spell here in the Northwest corner of Illinois. All the storms have skirted around us.
I agree it was 10f here in mid Texas with the wind chill at 4 am 🥶 my company ( road construction. Is closed down so I fired up my woodstove to take chill out of the house , the water company has been saying minimize the water running in home well is showing stress kids turned their meter off and drained pipes and come to my home for bathroom and showers I told them keep mini splits going for animals and they go down to walk and feed and water their 2 cats and dogs after they do what they need at my house they run back home.
My greenhouse up here in northern Michigan is 12 foot wide as a hoop house I raised it up higherSo I can put sides on it sheet metal so when the snow rolls off it backup against the sheet. No heat and mine is doing fine I use it in the Spring to get it early start. Being 20 foot wide that bridge gap you can only take so much you're very much wise getting that as much as you can off I would take the Shade cloth off. That will add weight And Is holding snow on.
I see that the “hill” got snow. Gulfport got 9 - 10 inches of snow. Snow on the beach was something else. Still don’t like it even if it was pretty. Glad to see that you guys are doing well. Does prove that it does get cold here in the south.
We still have the snow from over a week ago in S. Ohio. Still get more every couple of days. my son and grandkids were sledding in Columbia, SC last night. he was just a big kid Iike his boys, Lol
Hello Danny and Wanda I love your winter wonderland please stay warm when your not use to cold Temps, the Animals will be fine the snow on the cows will act as a blanket and keep them warm please take care and stay warm and God bless
I'm with you, Wanda. Pretty falling and then it can go! It's been cold here, but no snow or ice yet. Hopefully we can dodge the snow for this winter in Monroe, LA. It's pretty amazing the ' snow patterns ' New Orleans, Deep South Homestead, those really southern areas!!
Mr Danny, some old farmers had recommended using these gutter warmers for our high tunnel in central texas (due to the 2021 bliaazrd) , thought I would share that idea w you two. these are 240ft on amazon and on sale 25% off right now. Prime Wire & Cable RHC1200W240 Roof & Gutter De-Icing Kit Roof Heating Cable . maybe this will work for your high tunnels to keep the top warm enough to melt that snow, ice etc. I saw that you had a fan w a cord, so thinking you may have electricity ran to the tunnel. Many Blessings and we are keeping everyone in the path of this polar vortex in our Prayers.
Our satsuma and orange trees are looking bad. They are too big to cover. Looks like they will minimum loose all the leaves. We will find out in the spring
Looks like your country birds are willing to eat in the bird feeder now, just to get out of this insane snow. Here in near Corpus Christi, I got almost 3 inches.
Good morning Ms Wanda and Mr Danny! This weather certainly is unusual for us here in the south. I understand Mr Danny's concern about the high tunnel roof, but maybe it is providing a bit of insulation? I have some bread baking 8n the oven now to help keep thr house warm. It'll be nice to get above 32 for a bit today. Y'all stay safe and warm.
The snow is pretty but I hope yall don't have any damage when it's over. The bird cam is awesome. It's been too cold to sit on the porch and watch my birds and I certainly am missing them.
Hello there, I’m here in Georgia , I just threw some bird feed out on top of the snow , they will find it. Also I have a little bird feeder that attaches to my front window with suction cups that the birds come to. Maybe you can find a way to enjoy your birds , too. Take care. ❤️
@@lanagonzalez3359 The problem is I have cataract's and can't see far so I sit on the porch with my binoculars and watch the birds at my feeder. My porch covers the front windows so I can't put a feeder on the window. Soon it will be above 32 and I can sit on the porch again. I am in N.E. Ga.
Mornin Danny & Wanda! We got -11F this morning in northern Ohio....and still about 10 inches snow on the ground. Windchill is about -30F all day today . KEEP WARM down there, enjoy the snow :)
We got down to 13 degrees in SE Texas, with almost 4 inches of snow. I think yall got a little colder. Main concern is citrus and loquats. I know my broccoli is toast, but hoping the carrots are protected by the snow.
Dress in layers!! And get a heater in the green house if it goes below 40. Garlic will be fine. Mine get covered with snow every winter. Cover your bunnies!! Keep the bird feeder filled!! And don't move it!! Cover your water pipes with strawbales!! You will need to put some straw down and keep the cows in if it gets down around 0. Leave your faucets just dribbling so the pipes don't freeze so easy. 4 wheelers go fine in the snow til it hits 3 ft. Or more. Put extra straw in the chicken house!! Good luck!!❤
I’m ready for it to thaw out here in southern Oklahoma. We had all the snow and cold and about the time it started thawing out it got cold again. Everything has had frozen water and it’s getting old carrying the water every day. I’m ready to have some gardening weather
Good Morning from. Michigan. At 7:30 it’s -5 and with the wind chill it’s -29. No school Tuesday or Wednesday. There is a lady that lives down that way not in your state but one state over she took the snow put some in a cup. Put it in the microwave and it started sparking like there’s metal in it. It was crazy. Maybe you guys should check your snow and see if that happens to you guys. I got my birdfeeder a year ago Christmas and I love it, especially when the Cardinals are on there stay safe and warm.❤
Hopefully it warms up for you. Your shade cloth is holding up the snow. You are doing the right thing trying to nock it down. Hope the sun comes out for you. I have to knock the snow off all winter here in Michigan. Your high tunnel is stronger than my little green house. Just knock snow off all day and I think you'll be OK. Stay warm
Hello Mr. Danny an Ms. Wanda, here in SWMO zone 6b I have lived here all my life. I use to love the winter time especially during hunting season. But now that I’m older and disabled winter time is just too cold anymore and it hurts to be outside. All I can say is I’ve had my free sample of winter, and I’m ready for spring. Be safe and GOD BLESS.
I’ve been wondering how you’ve been faring in this storm. Here in NC we only had 1/2 inch. I’m not in the mountains. I remember living in the mountains of NW NJ it was a lot of extra work in winter time! I don’t miss that!😂 hope you are weathering it well! I see birds at your feeder!!!
I think the high tunnels will be just fine with the extra tubing. I see ones like those in Michigan all the time. A snowrake if you get more than a few inches may be helpful. My cheapo greenhouse does fine too with all the snow but replacing with a bigger and better one.
It’s now Wednesday morning here in Wayne County NC and we got around 2 and a half inches . It was 20 degrees this morning and at quite am it finally got to 23. It supposed to be a warm 14 tonight with wind chills in the 5 degrees. We have teens wind chills today. Burrrrrrr .
IMO, the way the high tunnel is holding up is a testament to the benefits of being considered OCD and trying to prepare for worst case scenarios. Just a thought. Instead of wasting good lumber, you could use some of the trash trees you are removing and cut them to length to make props for inside the high tunnel.
Our 5 to 7 inches of snow stayed around for a long time as most of our days were below freezing last night it was 8 degrees but it got up to 38 degrees today it felt like a heat wave(I live in SW MO.). We of course always at least have the cold temps every year some years not very much snow or ice. I thought of you as the snow was moving your way (watching Ryan Hall Ya'll, also was thinking of Ms Lippy, I hope both of you stay safe and have very little damage. I did think the snow on the beaches was pretty, but thought of the damage to food crops and the shortages it might cause and loss of income for many.
It sure is pretty up there. My brother is in Ft Walton Bch, Fla and he got about 3 inches. We just got cold but we are as far south on the west gulf coast till you turn to go to Miami so we’ve only gotten sprinkles of snow twice since we’ve been here 65 years. Y’all have done an incredible job of preparing for anything that might happen to you but stay close to God & nothing else will matter.
I live on Mobile Bay on the Eastern shore (bay front property) and we got 10 inches. Incredible. A once in a lifetime for us. I loved it but 2-3 days is good enough for me lol
Thang about about farming or homesteading you have chores to do no matter what the weather is you still have to take care of livestock and whatever else you need to take care of. Is there any heat tape or something along that line to melt some of the snow. Something like the heated floor system but for the roof
Here's a few tips from up north. Lock the cows in their stalls. Cover your bunnies. Throw out handfuls of straw near the birdfeeders so they can line their nests. Put a small heater in the greenhouse to warm it to 55. Safe blessings.
If your roof can handle the snow load, snow is a very good insulator
Well, it’s colder and snowier in south MS than in Anchorage. My yard in Anchorage is completely snow free - very strange weather!
😳
I love how Miss Wanda finds the beauty in everything when filming. ❤
Speaking of beauty, until they switched to her phone that day I did not realize how beautiful Wanda's eyes are. Wow. I love everything I am learning on here. Loved the peach tree planting. I plan to do alot of that come spring and the air-grafting to get more apple trees.
I strung 9v Christmas white lights down the middle of roof, it is working keeping it melted.
The snow staying on their backs is a good thing. It means they have a good layer of fat/insulation. If they didn't have snow, then you worry.
Came to comments to say same. Means they are healthy and and not running a fever.
Yep me too. I was going to say the same thing. Negative temps here in East Central Indiana with negative teens and twenties wind-chill. My steers stand outside like silly animals. They have fresh straw to lay on inside their stall, plenty of hay and feed twice a day with a heated water tank. The cows will be fine.

That’s how we roll in north Michigan
Here in Ky they put a small wood stove inside the high tunnel for winter to grow their starter plants for Nursery's
Here in Maine wood stoves/boilers are common in commercial greenhouses. The crazy weather makes it a must to have a emergency heat source,
Same in the High Desert 🏜
If you have a leaf blower, it will get the snow off better. That's what we use.
Thank you for the video...been wondering how you are doing thru this .... been praying for you also....here in North Dakota....
We appreciate the prayers!
Leaf blower with a homemade PVC pipe extension and blow off the snow from your greenhouse roof.
You did say the weather would be crazy. I'm in central Maine and we only have a few inches of snow in our yard. Yep, it's crazy.😊
🕊 Across the pond they put a small wood burn stove in the greenhouse, you can try the clay pots with Crisco homemade ovens, I pray it works for you, otherwise maybe a Walipini design. Take care. 🙏🌱

SE LOUISIANA here, it's 8* this morning, we got 8"snow. I went out 3 times during heavy snowfalls to sweep off 2 small greenhouses. I was freezing 🥶 .
8 is insane for the south! I guess our 15 ain't so bad 🥶
The snow staying on the cattle back means they’re well insulated and staying warm. In Nebraska vast majority of cattle live outside even in -20°.
I'm in another location in the deep south, and have never seen weather like this here (I'm in zone 9b). I have woken up to 31 degrees every morning this week, and my garden is not happy. LOL. We are trying our best! We appreciate your advice.

I’m from North (east) Georgia too and we still have ice from January 10th!
Here in Columbus, Ga. we got 2 plus inches. My cats are not impressed its up to their bellies.
Use the soot from your wood stoves and sprinkle on slippery spots works the best!
It’s crazy I’m in NW Oregon and haven’t had not even a flake of snow yet!
Stay warm! We had no snow in Ohio, but -8° this morning. Warmed up to 16° today. We have snow, but none since Sunday night. You are doing a good job!!😊

If you have a blower you could blow it off after it's done snowing. Hopefully, the snow is light enough to do that!
-20f here in Maine two days ago. Six inches of snow staying in the ground.
Those cattle aren’t cold.
I lived thru the blizzard of 1978 in Indiana. We got back then 26 inches of snow, 40+ mph winds, and windchills in the negative and whitout conditions. It was glorious. The snow drifts were awesome. I am still waiting patiently to live thru amothet one before i die.
That was the best snow storm. We dug tunnels to get down to the chickens. We were out of school for days.
Turn your fans on circuit what warm air you have it may end up melting the snow
I think that y'all be fine. I live in the Northern Ohio Valley and my greenhouse is a hoop house made from 3/4" PVC pipe and a plastic sheet it held the 8" of snow that we got with no problems. You guys need to just stay warm.
Thank you Wanda and Danny. The snow amounts are totally amazing. From the cozy kitchen to the freezing outdoor, the filming was appreciated.
Glad you enjoyed it.

that's a good look on you Miss Wanda 😃
Yes, thank you
It was 17 below zero without wind chill factor here in North Dakota. Not unusual.
I live in the heart of Texas and I am prepared for anything Mother Nature throes at us. All people should be that way. Never ever take anything for granted. If you do, you pay.
Do you have a portable heater that you can put in there? Even a propane heater would work. Then the snow would melt as it hits the top.
I am in Milton, FL. We got 9.8 inches of snow and woke up to a temp of 15. Chickens are refusing to come out of the barn. Hang in there. Stay safe and warm.

Hey Jean, from a former Kalamazooan now residing in rural NC Florida. 👋
Praying you had no damage to the high tunnels. Crazy weather, hurricanes in the mountains and blizzards on the beach
Thanks for the prayers, they are appreciated.
Y’all put a heater in your hightunnel to melt the snow. 🙏🏼
God Bless you too!
Us Yankees will take our weather back, when yall promise to keep that 90 degrees/90% humidity, down there! 😘
Well said!😂
😅
😂
Mr Danny, some old farmers had recommended using these gutter warmers for our high tunnel in central texas (due to the 2021 bliaazrd)
, thought I would share that idea w you two. these are 240ft on amazon and on sale 25% off right now.
Warming up in Wisconsin today. Super excited to reach into the low 20’s this afternoon. I like the cold weather, but not subzero temperatures
Bless y'alls heart. I do feel for ya. I pray your high tunnels make it through this winter unscathed.
This weather is totally insane. 🙏🙏✝️💙
Our satsuma and orange trees are looking bad. They are too big to cover. Looks like they will minimum loose all the leaves. We will find out in the spring
Thank you for the video. The snow is beautiful. Love the bird feeder. Stay warm. Love the cows, I could set and watch them all day.
Looks like your country birds are willing to eat in the bird feeder now, just to get out of this insane snow.
Here in near Corpus Christi, I got almost 3 inches.
Hi guys!
Always a pleasure seeing you all 1st thing in the morning.
Sending lots of positive vibes!
Thanks for watching, we're glad you enjoy our videos!
Keep Safe Ms wanda i hope the plants Stay Alive 💖🙏
Saw someone can't remember where used leaf blower to clean off snow off things. Maybe work on high tunnel
Good morning, stay warm up there!
Stay warm
hi danny and wanda 🤗
you as prepared more than most. thank you for showing us how general prepping can help in specific situations. tfs
Thanks for watching!
Hey now!!! it is 0 degrees here in Indiana our high will be 21 degrees. We not coming to get that weather 🤣😂🥰😅
God bless you too!
Warms my heart to see how you are to the animals !!! 👍🙏❤ TY,,,,,
I think the high tunnels will be just fine with the extra tubing. I see ones like those in Michigan all the time. A snowrake if you get more than a few inches may be helpful. My cheapo greenhouse does fine too with all the snow but replacing with a bigger and better one.
Sure hope so
We aren’t set up for this either, we’ve had the fire place going 24/7, thankfully we missed the snow here just north of it but it’s bitterly cold!
Hello Mr Danny and Mrs Wanda you guys doing good ❤❤IT’S SCREAMING COLD 🥶 🥶HERE IN GRAND RAPIDS MICHIGAN-feel like-15 🥶🥶
Use a leaf blower on high tunnel it works good.
It’s now Wednesday morning here in Wayne County NC and we got around 2 and a half inches . It was 20 degrees this morning and at quite am it finally got to 23. It supposed to be a warm 14 tonight with wind chills in the 5 degrees. We have teens wind chills today. Burrrrrrr .
You have birds coming to your camera feeder. That was beautiful video.
Prayers for y'all! Stay warm & safe. Be careful, don't fall! Hope the high tunnel survives. Keep that wood stove cranking!
I hope you guys will be OK and you don’t suffer any damages from this crazy winter storm that hit you
IMO, the way the high tunnel is holding up is a testament to the benefits of being considered OCD and trying to prepare for worst case scenarios.
I loved it but 2-3 days is good enough for me lol
leaf blower for roof small heater for tunnel
There's no electricity at the high tunnel.
Amazing. I'm praying that the roof on high tunnel holds up under the weight of the snow. Thanks for sharing 🙏 😎 🏝 🏖
We're hoping it holds up too.
Thang about about farming or homesteading you have chores to do no matter what the weather is you still have to take care of livestock and whatever else you need to take care of. Is there any heat tape or something along that line to melt some of the snow. Something like the heated floor system but for the roof
Love God’s little birds. You guys stay warm. It only dropped to 49 here in southern Florida sometime last night.
Good morning Danny and Wanda. I don’t mind a little snow from time to time. Have a nice day. Great video.
Good morning!
