It's actually entirely possible. The dwarves have a place in the halls of Mandos (The Elven afterlife) in Valinor that Aulë set aside for them. Bilbo and Frodo left Middle Earth for good to go to Valinor at the end of LOTR. From what I remember there wasn't any hard border that kept the Elves and Dwarves in the halls. Given that Hobbits are a subspecies of men, the two wouldn't be there permanently, but there's still a good few years where it could happen.
