I say this as an American who stood against unconscionable corruption in Human Services. It landed me on a government watchlist as a political “trouble-maker” for standing against fraud and abuse. Money that is coming from taxpayers to assist the most vulnerable of the most vulnerable is not being used as intended. From competitive grant games between leaders and housing assistance corruption to the injustice in the criminal system and even political prisoners- yes they still exist right here in the US. There is no worse prison than being under constant surveillance in your own home with your child. Apparently reporting fraud by officials gets you labeled an eco-terrorist. Wow, huh? But I will continue to speak truth to power. There is more evil in this world that you can know. People who need help are shamed and hated by the average tax payer. It is stupidity and this hatred is sorely misplaced. Everyone needs to stop judging the single mom in front of them in the grocery store with an ebt card. She’s most likely embarrassed as she can be but brave and doing what she has to do to feed her kids. That makes her a hero.
